Ed got a massive upgrade, so hyped everytime I watch a street fighter character trailer. Thanks for uploading this! I was only there for part of the stream

My pleasure!! Most of my streamed content should be under this channel under the "Live" tab. IKR?! Everyone told me Ed was lame in SFV, so they were surprised to see him on the DLC pass. But I think in 6 he looks cool af. Those flickers are gonna make me mald tho HAHA

Ed's Psycho Flicker reminds me of Full Moon Ciel's Flipper Punch in Melty Blood Actress Again. And Psycho Spark reminds me of K's Ein Trigger from the King Of Fighters games... In other words: His psycho power fused boxing with anime

(Sorry, long comment.) SFV Ed was kind of hated, cause of multiple reasons, but he still had some fans. His character was actually being built up since SF4, where he was only in cutscenes. In Balrog's endings across the different SF4 versions, he's saves a young boy (ED) who was hinted to have psycho powers like JP or M. Bison. In SFV, there was enough of a time skip where he became a teenager/young adult. But, he started out in Story mode only and basically did nothing, except hang out with Balrog and talk about beating everybody up. Ed was finally playable in SFV's season 2 DLC and this is where people started to really get annoyed. His default outfit was kind of lame and even with 6 they're making his alt a newer version of his first SFV alt and ignoring the original outfit. People also think that because his fighting style is boxing that he might be a replacement for a fan favorite character: Dudley (Even though he didn't play like him at all). He also got hate because his special moves were the precursor to 6's Modern mode. He was the first SF character to not use any motion inputs for special moves. So, people thought he was baby mode at the time. But, he was also very bad and underpowered throughout SFV until the last patch or two. When he finally became good (I think people list him in Top 10 or 15 out of 46), he was good in an annoying way. His mash attack became probably one of the best specials in the game, where Ed players could just do it wherever and whenever. He had other good tools, but this move in particular gave SFV players PTSD. I recommend watching Endingwalker vs NL at Capcom Cup (It's legit a great match) and you'll see Ed do a move where he turns purple and punches three times and says "ONE TWO THREE!", like all the time. But, it looks like the character is going to play differently now and everybody seems to think he got cooler. So all's good and sorry for the long comment!

he's an outboxer. Ed has great mid range game. His flickers is very reminiscence of Yamasaki from King of Fighters

I find it crazy he has such a really good neutral game because every one of his long range kick buttons are flicker jabs he can cancel after he hits whether it's blocked or not he can cancel dash away or cancel dash forward.

Honest footsies SF coming right up! I can't wait! :) Nah I'm 100% malding when I fight him. Those flicker jabs and their ghost-of-Christmas-past hitboxes are definitely smoking me, but I'm really curious to see if Ed is the answer to JP.

I like boxers in fighting games, so I'm def picking him up as an alt to Jamie. Now watch them do a p3reload collab and NOT give him an Akihiko costume.

LMAOOO Sega and Capcom have collaborated before in MonHun, so who knows, it could happen!
