The thing about Baus is, he's not wrong about inting Sion to maximizing tempo. This champ doesn't have a real passive if he's alive, the passive's only good window of usage is literally only early and mid game, while in late game you're basicly a sitting mad duck trying to peck something but everybody either slows you or CC you into grey screen. If you play him Tank, he's still behind in tempo if you don't maximize the passive and even in late game he's basicly just a walking wall that prays to Noxus God that somebody is dumb enough to walk into his Q

its actually easy to make sion fun, make e mark everything it touches and then sion can reactivate e to dash to a marked enemy (also usable on passive) sort of with prowlers, then nerf it so he can only dash to champions then remove it completely and buff lux into a new skin release. you're welcome

Baus has mastered being a weak side warrior. His reputation perma-taunts the enemy jungler into going top and his jungler then ignores him and goes mid and bot all game. His team has more pressure constantly on dragons, playing a 4v3 all game while he just 1v2’s and still manages to always be even or ahead of his enemy laner. This works perfectly for sion whose passive is at its most powerful early on so killing him matters so much less because he can annihilate the wave or kill you back if you’ve expended all your resources trying to kill him. It does always look like baus’s team is amazing because most teams can win a permanent 4v3 vs 3 people who had their jungler go to get milk toplane.

It's the removal of tenacity runes that really F'd Sion and a lot of tanks, Sion is kinda unplayable in aram (for me) since they never reverted the -20% tenacity and in SR good luck not getting an enemy team that picked more than 4 champs with low cooldown slows and stuns and even then an adc with a support will kite you to death and if you manage to get a decent Q position then you'll just get knocked out of the animation and become a walking minion. In the rare case your enemy doesn't pick 4+ CC champs, good luck with the 3 adcs they picked instead. PS 16:00 you definitely watched it

Sion will never be "good" as long as his shield maintains the WILD passive buffs. Getting *FOUR* hp per unit killed nowadays is insanity, and as long as that remains, he'll never be allowed other things power budget-wise. Even though there's so much %hp damage in the game, the gold value per creep/jg camp he gets is so much higher than most champs. I think Sion needs something to counter mobility. More ways to counter the ever-increasing number of dashes would be good for the game, anyhow. Perhaps his E grounding for .75 seconds? His Q grounding before the knockup if you're inside the indicator? No clue, but he needs something to make him *reliable* beyond bush camping, and if they want to keep him reliant on his Q, he needs a boost to make it less abusable. Even if he got CC immunity briefly during it! Something like Ornn's Bellows Breath.

They made changes with cleanse/quicksilver sash and mordekaiser/malza to make they R usable, so make sion R ult usable by adjusting his E. Imagine the E adjust in this play at 19:49 for example. Maybe just making grounded E at lvl max is fine, who knows. LoL introduced a lot of champions with lot of dashes, so sion became obsolete plus flashes

If you don’t like typical super hero shit I suggest watching the show Legion. He’s one of the most powerful mutants in the X-men universe and the show is really trippy, in-depth, and well written. He pretty much thinks he’s psycho(which he kinda is) but he doesn’t know that he could probably take over the universe in the snap of his fingers. Baus has said it multiple times, sion will be a problematic champion to balance, especially tank, as long as W passive continue to be so otherwordly, when the champ is strong there is no counterplay, he just stat checks you and game over, then to fix this problem they overnerf it, compensating for the W. Baus says that riot team should revert his max health increase from 4 to 2 health per minion, and then put the rest of his power budget on his abilities. its kinda sad to see a champ that used to have so many different playstyles resorting to passive tank playing

Inting sion is not okay for the health of the game for two reasons: - A tank that hyperscales on gold being able to farm freely because of his passive AND stack health for free, while being worth less and less to kill. Making him a threat for gold difference, when you get the kills and stays behind both in gold and tempo. - This strategy gets worse and worse when you realize people copy bausffs. People inting on Singed, on Volibear, even more on Sion. They don't understand macro, or tempo like the original... and inevitably causes problems in mid emerald, diamond.
