I love how you work with your kids. I work for my local sheriff's department so i see a lot of young people that didn't have a good upbringing. You allow them to find their boundaries, but you teach them to respect their skills. Their time with firearms and that bag will play in huge later. When they learn how to respect big responsibilities now, later they'll know what to do when presented with even bigger choices and responsibilities. You're awesome Matt.

hey Matt, my dad taught me that when looking for a drill bit, hold them sideways with the bit closest to you and the screw hiding behind it. You should just barely be able to see the threads on the top and bottom, hope it helps! great video

Great idea with the walkers. I got my first skates (the metal clamp on kind) on my 5th birthday. 1958. I used two brooms for support on the first day and lived on them for years after, but I lost my skate key all the time until my dad chained it to a section of two by four. I still have the skate key. Great memories.

You are never to young to learn how to fight. If I would have showed my son how to fight when he was young he might not have ended up in the hospital for about a month because a bully sucker punched him in the head and caused ITP. If you teach him the right and wrong thing to do to defend himself it will be fine I think. But that's just my opinion and you have yours.

Sorry about the boy. I myself tought my daughter and son since they was like 4 and 5. One date my ex got a call that Brooke punched the daylights out of another girl at school. Long story short it was a bully and picked on my daughter and pushed her off the swing so she got up and let her have it. When the school asked for us to meet up for teacher parents conference my ex said ok. When she went there they tried to give her the what for so she said call my ex- husband and see how you all do on that cause he has trained them to protect themselves but not to start fights but sure as heck they better finish the fight. So again long story and they never called me.

I hope your son is OK, now. Sucker punches are tough to defend against. You pretty much have to develop good situational awareness skills as your only real defense. Everyone (aside from Operators) is open to such attacks at times, and unless you can "take a punch", most self defense skills aren't going to stop that type random attack.

You didn't need primer on those pipes at all. The purple primer is so that the inspectors can see that you did actually use primer. But you can glue PVC together without any primer as long as the pipes are dry and it will seal and hold water with no problem. But you're not putting water pressure in any way. But that was a very awesome idea Meredith had!

Nice work on the old lady walkers. You should know that it’s important to have the skates closed tightly to give as much support (it should be very tight but not to tight that stop circulating) it goes as well for ice skates. From an experienced skater with bad ankle, that can still skate that way.
