little but important detail for the sound. It´s made to be used in stereo mode. Even when using surround headsets, it works a lot better in stereo. Speaking from experience

I will echo the sentiment - I'm at over 2200 hours in the game and it's a BLAST. Seriously, no game has *ever* held my attention for this long. The pacing is fantastic - you spend 3 minutes running around for clues, lulled into a sense of complacency. Then, out of nowhere a shot whizzes past you. You get dropped into the action so quickly!

Totally agree. I bought Hunt four months ago and already played around 350 hours. Its just awesome, although I was never a Ego Shooter PVP Player.

Great Video! Just one quick thing: The game sound is in stereo, it even says it iwhen you start the game. There is no need for Surround Sound headphones.

There is no game like it. It is hands down the best game I have ever played and I have been play video games for over 4 decades. I only wish I had purchased Hunt 6 years ago when it released. I had it on my wish list for over a year before I finally pulled the trigger on purchasing it 2.5 years ago. I have just shy of 3k hours at 2980 hours and have no intentions of slowing down. It is just simply amazing. There is no game and I mean zero games in its league when it comes to sound! It is a masterpiece. It is very hard core and unforgiving always but especially when you start. If someone is on the fence don’t be just buy it. Give it a fair shake and as you mentioned plan on dying a lot in the beginning.

my main complaint with this game is lack of good colourblind mode i have strong deuteranopia and a lot of models just blend in with environment, sound isn't good for me either because shooting in a general direction is probably not the greatest idea

Is there proximity voice chat? Also how does it play when going in with friends or randoms? Is the community toxic or friendly? Would it be smarter to get it on PC or PS4?

PC, yes absolutely there’s prox chat. You can lobby up with friends in duos or trios. Makes it easier imo, from my experience the game had a pretty loyal and welcoming culture

This game is easily worth the buy. The sad part is that the average player runs in gung ho, guns blazin like its fuckin call of duty. They fail to realize that this is one of few fps meant to be played with stealth, strategy and wit as opposed to skill with a gun. Also dont be one of those tms without a headset. Too many times have i spectates a tm and i can hear an enemy 5 feet away but they cant.

Currently 3 maps with another on the way sometime this year. It’s the perfect amount as of now for map knowledge and each map is pretty large for the 12 man player count.

I’d say 1 in 10 games you have fun. Most games they throw you into lobbies full of sweats, long load times and the AI is annoying af. It’s fun but gets old quick. You’ll spend 5 mins getting your character, 5-10 mins looking for a lobby, the 10-15 mins killing AI avoiding sound traps and collecting clues just to get head shotted by a random dude in a bush, just to go to the lobby and do it all over again. Now have that happen 10 games in a row. Gets old.

@@kicker081 If setting up your character, running around for 10-20 mins collecting clues, getting fucked by ai, then getting killed from nowhere then going back to the lobby to do it again sounds fun to you, then sure. It’s a good game, just needs the ai and sound traps toned down, and another game mode where you can fight without having to go back to the lobby setup character, wait to find a match, then wait for the match to load. Takes way too long.

PS5 doesn't really do it justice, PC is the best experience!!! The lighting, the graphics, the sound.... Just makes you feel like you are actually there!!! I played the hell outta this game on PC, PS5 to me is more cartoonish...

I haven’t seen much toxicity in my time with the game. The community is overall pretty welcoming and helpful. Random queuing can be hit and miss though if you do that. But overall it’s very good!

There are a few points in your script I'd like to point out. First of all: I think your initial statement lacks nuance big time. You lead the video saying Hunt is worth your time. Now, you may well feel that way. But you have to acknowledge that this is highly subjective. Hunt is a game that absolutely does not value your time as a player. You will frequently have periods of time where you spend an hour of boredom punctuated by maybe two instances of action that may well be over in 20 seconds. Personally, I consider this a terrible time investment. Hunt is not a fun game to play, i think that is quite an objectively true statement. That's because it simply doesn't provide fun activities to you unless you engage with some distict encounters. Now, of course the game can be very thrilling, exciting, scary and engaging in a lot of other ways. But i wouldn't consider "fun" one of its main draws. Of course you can still enjoy the game, many people do. But I find it quite dishonest to just leave this potential for boredom and the resulting frustration out of your video. Secondly, no: you don't need a sorround sound headset. In fact, it's well known the game sound functions best with stereo headphones. You may well harm your game experience using a sorround headset. Third: hunt having plenty of content: that's debatable. It really has only two modes. That being bounty hunt and soul survivor. I wouldn't call the shooting range a mode as it's just that: a shooting range. There really isn't anything to be done there. Trials may just as well kot even exist because it's been abandoned for years and nobody cares about it. Sure, it's there technically. But hardly any new player even knows it exists. And those who do ususally hate it. So i wouldnt really call that a lot of content. Add to this that there's only 3 maps and 4 bosses and it looks quite pitiful in terms of content density, especially considering it has been out for 6 years at this point. Sure, you can say it has enough content. But that really isn't a point to praise the game on.

The saddest thing about hunt is that the new player base who picked this game up in the last 2 years have no idea how trash the game is today compared to what it was before. Its been dumbed down for the casual player ever since denis at crytek took over the game. No more quick swap between your main and secondary weapon because apparently it was too complicated for noob players to do, multitudes of ways to get your health back but importantly, crytek rigged the game for trash players giving them aim assist and even possibly give them another edge by giving their opponents bigger hit boxes. I have 2000+hours on the game, most players knew me when I picked up the bounty. I was at 10k kills with 4.16 kd. Then all a sudden after a certain magic patch, everyone became a god over night. I was getting killed/headshotted every game by the worst garbage players with .9 kds 1.3kds and stuff like that. Now a year later my kd stands at 3.4 because all the noobs and casuals kills me like they have 5000hours played. This was a masterpiece game before. Today, its a hot bag of dogsht.
