I think grass/fighting (aka chesnaught) does really well vs the current meta. Resists both rock and ground, crushes mud slappers, and can hit most of the meta for neutral damage.

Not sure if it's bad strategy or not but I never bait buff/debuff moves. Even if it's shielded, I'll bank the attack boost and the turn won't feel totally wasted.

I think if you need the dark type hydreigon is better but for great league mud slappers are very common and I think shadow dragonite is better but only on lead. Hydreigon is probably better on safe swap

QotD - steel/flying is still possibly the best typing as far as the meta. Ground, poison, psychic, grass, fairy, dragon, almost all the main fast attack typings all resisted. Not many fire & electric types top dogging right now, and that is easily coverable by having a dragon or a mud boy somewhere on the team. Neutralizing fighting, ice, & rock also helps quite a bit, given the limited offensive abilities for steel attacks. Shame Skarm is basically grounded for this season.

I have been using arctibax lead to core break the meta and its been amazing. Ice Dragon is a solid type offensively.
