If gdp is slowing, why aren’t businesses reducing prices of products along with streamlining costs? If cost of living goes up in times of growth, why doesn’t cost of living go down in case of de growth? I don’t think getting into debt or consuming more is the solution

Hey Siddhant - thanks for the question. Businesses are not reducing the prices because they all the processes/automation/future expansion/margin etc are according to the pre slowdown era. It's difficult to go below the threshold point. cost of living doesn't come down - because you get used to comfort. You don't want to easily give up. If you are used to eating in good restaurant - it's difficult to came back to dhabas. so only way forward is to increase the demand and then eventually supply. Govt has to consider both sides. It is so easy for you to blame, just saying economy, economy.
