Hi, I’m curious how you feel about it now. Based on the stock recommendations/ top 50, etc that were shown on your video, everything that was at their high dipped and never recovered after august 2019. PAGS, PAYS, HSY, HEI, PUYI, NOC, EW, MTZ, OLED, etc. from what I saw. IPIH was the only one listed that did well.

Chris we had a major market crash which created new leaders in the market. Reading the IBD big picture would also have protected you early on on the crash and have gotten you back into the market for the meat of the 2020 increase.

I have been subscribing for about a year. If I find one stock that I otherwise would not have seen, it pays for itself. If I find two, I am making a profit. Like you say, it provides educational material. Therefore, they are paying me for my education. The only problem I have is, the phone app sent me a message near midnight. I told customer service, if they did that again, I was done with their product.

Thank you for this review. I've been with IBD from Jan to August. I got fed up with their approach of buying breakouts that get shorted the next day by the hedges. By the time the RSI and stock rating is over 95 in their system (and yours) it is too late. IBD is slowly catching on to this from what I see on their show. Turn arounds and rapid sector rotation is the new meta. I find Stock Charts to have better advisors for this paradigm. What is your take on that service or the changing IBD?

IBD does not use RSI they use the Relative strength line and indicator. Many of my biggest winners have already been rated over 95 in terms of RS and composite. I do look for earlier entries than IBD

@@TInyK12 I always felt "investing" and "trading" are a false dichotomy. Investing is simply money making money - Merriam Webster's definition of investing: "to commit (money) in order to earn a financial return". Both investors and traders are committing money in order to earn a financial return the only difference is, trading is investing with risk management rules (ie. cutting losses short, selling out of a stock when the trend has clearly reversed, ect.) and usually shorter time frames.

Now I want to sign on to one of the premium services and want the better value among Leaderboard, SwingTrader or MarketSmith. I am finding out that my style will be more of a short term swing trader, however I cannot find much info on their differences in the offerings.

Erik that's great to hear! Swing Trader is their more short term trading idea service. They've really been killing it this year. Leaderboard is more position trading and marketsmith is just the best for everything. I suggest trying trials of them each and feel out which you prefer.
