And a proper penalty system. 3 pixels across a couple apexes is not in any way a safety concern while intentional slamming is a 50x. It's not hard, despite how effective the propaganda is that it's anything but requiring some effort, slightly above moderately trivial at best. In the real world cameras are needed for so much review. In game, EVERY SINGLE INPUT and POSITION and previous moment is known.

Same 'ol iRacing physics. Cars have this very weird elastic-tension-snap effect during all sorts of minute grip-transition and grip-slip moments. In fact, it's been there in Iracing since as far back as I can remember, like 2008. It's like the physics hate being in any state of slip or grip-transitions. I'm not talking about big slides that cause a full loss of control (although they may be related). The cars need to be driven in such a robotic and static way because of this constant, weird elastic-tension-snap effect which makes controlling the cars during slip & grip-transitions very awkward & unnatural and doesn't give the driver anywhere near as much command & control of the vehicle during those states of slip & grip-transitions as some other sims/games (let alone real life).

I've been saying that ever since I got back in to simracing after 20 years. The first hour in a GT3 back in 2020, on iRacing I knew it was weird. All the cars have issues to varying degrees except maybe the GT4's? . They have never fixed it. Maybe, with the precision of the physics engine update they are planning next year. The calculations will work better with the tyre model code.

They addressed this in a dev post. A fix is coming very soon. This was a decision they had to make based on the tire physics. Go find it, one of the latest blogs. Pretty sure it's not in this update.

@@Real28 Although I haven't read it yet, I'm skeptical considering these traits have been there since iRacing came out around 15 years ago despite all the apparent physics engine & tyre model changes throughout these 15-ish years. That tells me these traits are buried deep within iRacing's underlying core physics engine & underlying core tyre model but I'll definitely check out the post with an open mind - thank you.

I need to fire this up again, when it came out I was absolutely blown away by how good the physics felt. Fully simulated prototypes, its amazing, those first few laps warming up the brakes and tires is amazing, I don't know any other game that sims that as well as LMU, shame it doesn't get more light especially on here. Once dedicated servers are out they could start some good leagues.

It looks better than most new sims because new sims add WAY too much gloss, reflection and they oversaturate the hell out of colors. I remember when Project Cars came out and people creamed their pants and I'm looking outside like, wtf it's not this saturated. And I attend a lot of races - real life is not this saturated. I've always found iRacings more muted colors way more realistic. If you see the world thay bright - and I don't mean a screen, I mean go outside - then wow. But I know it's not. Greens are too green, reds are too red, etc

Agreed the changes in graphics didn’t seem to do much. I agree though that they still look pretty good anyway. And in VR is amazing. And it’s the community that people enjoy primarily. Not the graphics. I feel like you pay to be a part of something versus “playing a game”. And for me that’s worth it. No other sim has the community like IRacing, unless you it’s the “mod” community in AC. But I don’t really care about “mods”.

First of that video is from 2023 and in the wec, imsa runs different types of bops compared to wec so the cars are faster in imsa.in wec for example at spa their gt3s are seconds slower then at the 24 hours. Plus the setup they used in the video might be higher downforce then you run in real life. Still they are definitely too fast in the corners but not close to 100 kph

I love the NSX. Looks sexy and sounds good. In my opinion the best looking GT3 in iRacing atm. And its more stable than the 296. We compared it, because we want to drive this or the 296. But I think we take the NSX. I feel so comfortable in this car. Some months ago I joked in the team, that I love to see the NSX in iRacing, because I love how it looks. But I never thought it will come, because it is from '22. And now, there it is. I had to slap myself, when I saw this will come 🤣 This is my new car for GT3-Series/-Leagues. My 296 will stay in the garage. Or as my teammates say I swaped from a "spaghetti bowl to a rice bowl" 🤣 I've been mobbed in the team for driving these cars as a german and dont drive the BMW or Porsche 🤣

Debris looks way overanimated, compared to IRL. There are too many rocks and debris animating. It would suit them to reduce the amount visually, which based on what i can see, also would match reality better and reduce Graphics loads.

I ran the new M2 at Ledenon last night. In actual racing it seems ok. There are a couple corners lots of people spun on that got very nasty. That may need to be toned down. Aside from that, it seemed similar to what I have seen on real tracks when dealing with amateur drivers that tend to have more off tracks than pros. It may need dialed down a little, but it is not terrible right now. I am curious to see what it is going to be like in the series I normally run in with generally cleaner drivers.

Ok, graphics still look iRacingy... but my performance went through the roof! I don't know, am I the only one noticing this? With a 4070TI 1440p single monitor except 8xMSAA (I remained on 4xMSAA sharp) and I still using Virtual mirror, I was able to MAX OUT everything else and get 120 FPS, even on race starts.

@noduj I think it's way better honestly. I agree with everything you said. I'm not a big iracing fanboy or hater but I genuinely feel it's a big improvement, I'm actually pretty excited about the future possibilities for the sim with this new tire.

unfortunately it seems as though the nsx won't be on the grid in imsa next season, gradient racing has switched to ford. i hope someone takes up the nsx as its homologataed until 2029 and hpd said they would continue to support customers. i'm liking the nsx in iracing.

I don´t care about the correct Hybrid-System in the car. The only thing that matters in iRacing is, that they are in the same ballpark as the other GTP and Hypercars. It may be a bit fast, but in reality the also run on much older tires and that isn´t taken into account in the videos. Seems like some LMU fanatics have now something to say against iRacing. Fine... go for it. A few hundred people still play LMU, but a 10.000s use iRacing.

Hi there, Honestly, how you can still drive iRacing is absolutely incomprehensible to me at the moment. Actually, iRacing should slowly die completely and everyone should go to AMS2 and LFM, for example, and soon to AC Evo. A lot of people are now saying, nonsense, yes possible. But .... There are just far too many cheats for me and when I see what AMS2 can do that iRaing can only dream of, I honestly ask myself why iRacing. example... 1) Another race with FIXED in iRacing and again on the long straight, I'm overtaken and he drives almost 15 km/h faster (according to the screen). Physically IMPOSSIBLE! Same car, same conditions, not even possible in the slipstream and at the beginning he was 800 meters away. There is ZERO slipstream. etc pp... never mind .... 2) But despite everything NETCODE and I fly off ! Netcode at ASM2 ? Never experienced that in any race! 3) After the crash in AMS2 ? Immediately the Safty Car is out in the LFM race and has regulated that ... Have you ever seen that in iRaicing in an official race? NEVER ! In iRacing, what is a Safty Car? What is a yellow flag? Simply ridiculous .... 4) Another example, ever tried to move the seat back and forth ? AMS2 one button. iRacing ? NOT POSSIBLE I 5) Look at the HUD in AMS2. EVERYTHING works that you need. iRacing? Now they want to do something. NOW after how many years to checkout please ? 6) Force feedback. ASM2 ranks with rFactor 2 according to all tests, so also better. 7) Tire model ... is there anything with iRacing? Oh yes, there isn't one. Temperature is only measured in the pits and pressure is always a value regardless of the car. AMS2 ? Continuous measurement and high influence.... 8) If we look at the graphics in comparison, iRacing can only rave about AMS2. 9) If we listen to the sound, an iRacing driver can only rave about AMS2. 10) The ranking is completely broken. A race is still compiled on the basis of iRating. Safty Rating only has a secondary role for the license. This is also complete nonsense! In the LFM, iRating and Safty are merged into one value and only those who really drive safely in the long term will get ahead. There are so many chaotic drivers in iRacing and iRacing itself simply changes NOTHING. 11) Ever heard of a Vipe of the points? Why, you don't want to upset anyone? No, they'd rather make ghost accounts 10 times over so that the really fast ones and the cheaters can come first again? You could write soooo many more pages where AMS2 is far superior to iRacing technically and in terms of facts. iRacing just seems old-fashioned and needs a complete overhaul. do we still want to have an honest and neutral exchange? In the end, the only thing that keeps people at iRacing is the FEAR that all the money is gone and you could be one of many again. Is that how little self-confidence I have to have towards a PC game? I don't identify myself through a PC game and I don't think I'm capable of such shit. At over 50, I should be my man in real life and not in a game that takes a lot of money for what service? What's even cooler is that they offer “new members” a 50% discount, but long-time members who play the game NEVER get this offer! and and and.... So sorry, only if I turned off my mind and had an ego problem would I give iRacing another euro at this point, let alone my precious limited private time! The 15 € are totally irrelevant .... Coffee money! That's why my subscription runs out after many many years!
