Aren’t the wire supposed to be coming out of the back? That’s how I did mine it looks cleaner

Always install a Shaker motor, it adds alot to the experience!! I have 8 pins, all have shakers!!! Absolutely love it !!!!

Yep! I like the reaction newbies have when playing my machines for the first time when they start shaking!

Aren’t you only supposed to add that extra harness if you don’t have capacitors on your board? What about the ferrite boxes? Did yours come with those?

I wish Stern would take cues from JJP on subtle shaker usage. I own two Sterns that I installed shakers in, and both (on minimum shaker settings) sound like someone’s drilling through a wall in the room. With Jersey Jack, certain functions just give light, gentle feedback, enough to make the whole cabinet feel integrated but not obnoxious.

I had to turn down my Jurassic Park and debating turning down my shaker motor on Godzilla. Avengers infinity quest is nicely coded into the game IMO. Thanks for watching.

A shaker motor is for people who consume a pinball like a movie rather than playing it. The big vibrations overshadow smaller but important feedback from the playfield.

Interesting take. But I love my shakers.

@@CombatandCollecting There's so much wrong with pinball what hampers it becoming more of a sport. I give you an example: A ball saver is a cheap trick of the industry bc it's an attempt to even out play times. The moment a ball saver is installed, the outlanes and or flipper gap are widened as the industry does ofc not grant the players longer play times. And wider outlanes mean more situations where even the strongest players with excellent estimate of the ball's trajectory and adequate nudging are chanceless. Actually with most models the industry caters to a small flipper gap and wide outlanes in order to avoid beginners feeling embarrassed by losing the ball through the gap. A small flipper gap though means less critical situations and so less opportunities to save the ball by a skillful slap save which most beginners not even consider. A ball saver is raising the luck factor and therefore an unjust and unfair thing. Bc of the widened outlanes it cuts down on really long play times. Worst of all it creates boring situations: Ball saver on, the ball goes to the side and bounces back and forth between in- and outlane. Now the player couldn't care less if the ball drains or not. And that is truly idiotic as the prime directive and the very essence of pinball is to keep the ball in play. The presence of sudden death and the desire of avoiding the drain is the thrill, which makes a player's brain run at full throttle. Take it away by giving a ball saver and see levels of concentration, awareness and a dozen of other functions plummet into sleep mode - a huge no no!

Will stern shake motors work on data East machines?

I have no idea. Sorry.

In battle Royale shaker works on all hit shots except final blow which is disappointing. I wonder if I can report that so next update would fix it.

Didn’t notice that, I especially like it in Gem battles.

Still think it’s worth it after 4 months? Trying to decide if I need this for my AIQ Pro. This is my first pin and I’ve never owned one with a shaker motor.

Hey there! Did you install that sub in your machine? I’m getting a Jurassic Park premium, and was thinking of either doing the shaker or a sub. What’s you opinion?
@CombatandCollecting3 жыл бұрын
You have to get a shaker. Honestly I feel like the cabinets are plenty loud stock. I would dial down the shaker motor to the medium setting, as maximum was way too intense for my liking. Thanks for viewing!

Get pinnovators spike II sub kit for $35. Grab a monoprice sub for $62. You will thank me later. Shaker is a must also.
