I have an Oscar Schmidt that is slightly different. I checked the anchor looks fine. It was stored and when I bought it the strings were very flat. I hope that's what has saved it. It holds its tuning well so far.

Call the series: "Am I totally screwed, Hal?" I found a dished-top harp in the local goodwill. cheap. I passed it up... then 10 minutes later, down the road, thought "PARTS" and went back for it. No regrets.

Hal, who in the DFW meteoplex in Texas would you recommend to look at harps

It’s folding in on itself. Guitar tops do the same thing over time. Over time they all will self destruct. Iv fixed a few by cutting the tops off right up to the layered pin blocks. Then add kerfling against the pin block. Then add a nice thin spruce top back on with a neck end block to attach the aluminum piece to. They end up being great players. Myself I put an adjustment end back. Labor and time would be a killer for someone paying to have it done though.

Thanks for the feedback; that's good to know. There's a wide group of interests in the autoharp demographic. Peace out.
