People need to realize that political parties are not football teams. Vote third party.

You just encouraged people to vote for your football team. Everyone, I encourage you to look up the policy platform of each political party/candidate and vote for the one that closely aligns with your beliefs. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE do not become a one issue voter. That is how we end up in the mess that we find ourselves in now. They get you confused and upset at that one thing to snag your vote. Example, abortion. This should be a given for believers. However, God gives you free will to follow his commands or not. But you cannot honestly believe he has nothing to say on this matter? Again, I encourage you to learn the policy prescriptions of the party's YOURSELF to see what they propose as solutions to these issues. DON'T let the media do it for you! It is obvious they all have their own preferred candidates, which means they will make that person look good, at the expense of making any opponents look bad! We all know this fact but deny it when we favor that candidate. Again, this is the kind of stuff that creates strife.

Affiliations used to be private. Pick what reflects your beliefs. Neither party is what it used to be.

We gotta free ourselves from the shackles of the political plantation, and look at the bigger picture of who actually represents our morals and values AS A WHOLE.

Read Thomas Sowell's works about the Welfare State. He is black and one of the smartest men to ever live in America. He should be mandatory reading for everyone in America.

I agree totally. I used to be a democrat, but they have beyond gone too far. The Republican party is more in line with me, but there are far too many Republicans in name only. So, I am the true definition of a liberal, not the definition used today but the actual definition of a liberal.

I think it also depends on the area you live in. I live in an area with many groups of white supremist and militias. They carry their AR rifles in public. They stand outside school board meetings and the Republican meet ups. They have broken into the state capital. I do not see this as the way to be. I am white but it scares me to see these things happening. I have never seen anything like this in my 74 years of life. There were a large group of Nazi supporters during the war. They were even in our government. They disbanded when they got found out and the war ended, but they still had the belief. History shines a light on that unseen.

I believe you are correct on a lot. I’d say you are at a crossroads where at some point you will choose a party that suits your beliefs. But I also believe both parties are unrecognizable at this time. The democrats have gone far left to the point of socialism. The Republican Party is split into 2. One side is lined with the democrats and the other wants a free America with less government involvement, which is the Trump party. We want law and order and secured borders. We want our kids educated not indoctrinated! We want our tax dollars to benefit our country and its citizens first and not others! Right now we all have to make our own decisions for our own beliefs and gonna have to pick for the lesser of 2 evils. We have both lived 4 years under each of these candidates! Now we must all ask ourselves under which man was my life better. The answer for me may not be the same for you. Only you can answer that question. You are young and you are learning life lessons in real time. When I was your age I was buying my first house. In this moment, under these conditions I believe most young Americans have been priced out of the housing market and rental markets. My daughter last year was paying more for a 1 bedroom apartment than I was paying for a mortgage on a 4 bedroom house. So we told her to move back home and save her money to hopefully one day buy her own house. Good luck with your decision! Just remember one thing. Don’t give either party your vote. Make them earn it. If they aren’t doing anything that aligns with your beliefs and standard of living then they are not for you.

The Republican party left me years ago. I do not agree with the Democrat Party all the time but there is no perfect party. The conflict I had was between supporting the United state and my faith. The United state is diverse and needs to consider all people. My religion has morals and beliefs I follow. I cannot force people to follow my beliefs nor would God want me to force people to believe the way I do. We change people by example, not force. We are a country that recognizes all people and help them not bully them. Please read PROJECT 2025. It may help you make up your mind.

I think you’ve already left, maybe not formally, but you have come to terms with the unreconcilable chasm between you and the Democratic Party. You have a lot of wisdom. Don’t concern yourself with joining the Republican Party at this time as they are trending in the same direction. Uduak, I’ve had to come to terms with my own awakening. For example, when I was your age the Christian Collision was quite the force among the moral majority. They’re still around today but they don’t yield near as much influence as they once had. Why? Because instead of remaining principled they chased idols. As the Republicans drifted away from values based voters so did the Christian Collation. The CC is not a pro life organization, and neither are half the Republicans. The CC supports the green agenda, the Republicans essentially support the climate manipulation through their lack of opposition. The CC supports jail break, a position which Trump and Obama booth support. All I can say is, let your values guide you, and stay away from the idols in both parties. Don’t just give your vote away. It may not make you popular, but you’ll be able to sleep easier at night.

being pacifist is not tenable. If the US or the commonwealth was pacifistic during WWII, Hitler could very easily have won. Same with USSR and now Putin (who wants to return to Soviet state). I was a pacifist leftist until after Iraq war.
