Is it an Old Skool or a Style 36?!?!? How to tell the difference

And I also noticed, in my OS and S36, that the material of the side stripe is different. The same happen in these two pairs of yours.

@@vansunboxed I don't know how to explain this in English (actually, I don't even know in Portuguese hahaha), but the material of the side strip on the old skool is kinda smooth and on the 36 style it's kinda rough...

There is a difference in fit, style 36 fit larger. I did notice the style 36 the back of the shoe is a little stiff, does anyone know if it breaks in. I just got a new pair.

It does fit larger. I size down .5 on style 36 from old skools. Back is stiff but shouldnt bother you much. If it does, try maybe sizing up .5.

As a longtime fan of the old skools, I bought a pair of style 36s without even realizing it! But it was the small toe box that caught my eye. I bought them without trying them on and had to swap them for a size down. Hope they come out with more color ways for the 36, i really dig em!

Idk what it is about Vans and their sometimes stiff heels... I thought canvas sides were the key, but my all-canvas skate style 53 were the worst of all for me. Overal that does seem to help, though, maybe those 53's are just a touch tight cause there's no laces and not much elasticity.

Style 36 side line ends on 7th lace hole Old skool side line ends on 8th lace hole.
