YES! I will most definitely keep talking about it because change must happen. Thank you so much for your kindness. The girls are all so beautiful and so perfect and if all people have to talk about it is their hair, then I’m winning lol.

It really saddens me that as women we have time to criticize, and bring down others. We are all unique in Gods eyes. Just because you share your life on social media the right is not given to bash and bring you down. I love that you share your life with openness and honesty. Your girls are all beautiful and unique. You are an amazing mommy to them. And watching you all has helped me embrace my natural hair and for that I say thank you so much!! Blessings and hugs to you and your beautiful family!!❤❤

THISSSSS! Thank you so much for this! I hate when people say, “you put it out there so you get what you get…”. So if you see someone out in public that looks or acts in a way that you don’t agree with, you go up to them and tell them how you feel about it? ABSOLUTELY NOT! So why do you think it’s ok to do it behind a phone or computer screen. I feel those people are lacking so much peace and they take it out on people they will never be able to actually face. Either way, i will continue to stand up for natural beauty and MY KIDS!!! Thank you so much for being here with us, Alana! We love you.

Conformity is one of the many ways the world tries to taint the innocent, dismiss the worthiness of natural beauty, and to stick in the realm that vanity is king. I love y'all and your forum ❤❤❤❤❤ Keep on doing what you do best and that's to show that your guidance from God is more important than the lies of the enemy can concoct. ❤💪🏾

Thank you so much for this!! We will always raise our children in Gods way, not the way of the world. One day, I pray people find value in the everyone being who they are, not who you feel they should be

I understand your frustration. It's really unfortunate that it's people who look like us who are the biggest critics. We have been taught for so long that our hair is "nappy", "unkept", and just not "good hair". I think you do a beautiful job on your hair, and on theirs. After wearing a relaxer for more than 20 years, I went natural about 10 years ago. It is a LOT of work! Keep the curls popping!! Stand strong Sis! Love ya'll!!❤🙂

10 years strong, wow!! Congratulations to you, sister! i pray to say the same. I’m 3 years in now and it really is such a journey! And that’s ex ally what I was thinking! Keeping up with curls is so much harder than get braids or a sew in! It’s daily maintenance versus a one time application that last weeks. I just pray we as people get where we need to go with our mindset. Also learning how to be ok with all of us being whoever we choose to be.

I feel like a lot of these situations are "taught" behavior. What young people learn from older ones. I'm white. My parents raised me and my sisters to use God's love for every human. They had friends of many cultures, and we all had cookouts and meals together. These people are still in my life now. We have genuine love for each other. Your girls are beautiful!! Absolutely beautiful!! I personally love natural hair on black women!! It's beautiful!! You and Jonathan are amazing parents!! Stay strong!! Love you guys!! ❤❤😊

Ohhhhh they are most definitely taught and it’s sad! I’m so glad your parents set the blueprint for inclusivity and acceptance for you! We love you and never once thought about your skin color or hair type because to us, that doesn’t matter either. It’s such a blessing to just love so freely. Thank you for this, Lisa, and for always showing up.

It’s sad that children cannot celebrate each other’s uniqueness. The good thing is that she has you and her father to instil a sense of self-worth, love and compassion within her. She’s beautiful and I love how you empower your girls to honour their crowns 👑 ❤

I am going to pray with y’all about this bullying she’s going through concerning her hair! And them girls hating on her and jealous and she has to realize that! This is so ridiculous.
