My wife and I reached Thimphu, Bhutan from Phuntsholing via road. It was about 6 hour taxi ride to get to Thimphu, which is the largest city in Bhutan, and where we were going to base ourselves.

Bhutanese food dinner at Kalden Restaurant - For my first ever Bhutanese food meal in Thimphu, we headed over to Kalden Restaurant, a local restaurant in Thimphu. We ordered ema datse, which is the Bhutanese food national dish of chilies and cheese, plus a number of other Bhutanese cheese dishes, which we ate over rice. It was an amazing first Bhutanese meal.
