as jfinney just noted, video production quality is superb. But the video's audio quality is garbage! It's like a cheese grater. It's a digital thing, obviously, but it needs some softening or warming up. That said, thanks for a terrific review on this green 945. We have one coming in the mail today! Stoked!

Did u do anything to get your action smoother I just got a aluminum one and it's dosnt really drop shut or fall I thought Maybe it was because of the small light weight blade

You’ll definitely need to break it in. Slightly adjusting your pivot may help out as well as adding some KPL! Thanks for commenting man!

Why would they change the blade steel for a mini thats supposed to mimic the larger size 940? They wouldn't, because it wouldn't make sense to change the blade steel. S30V is the way and should remain for the standard 940.

I have a collection of budget Chinese knives. You know, knives like Ganzo, Real Steel and Ruike. My higher end stuff consisted mainly of Spyderco. I've always been curious about the 940. I've been hearing nothing but good things about the model so when I saw a 940-2 available, I decided to go for it. Man, why did I wait so long? I love the 940-2. There was a Blade HQ exclusive model with M4 steel and natural G10 scales and I didn't buy that. Regrets... With regards to the height and width of the handle of the 945, is it the same as the 940?

In your opinion, would a deep carry pocket clip be a better choice on this knife (similar to the Bugout)? It seems like a whole lot of pocket clip for a mini version.

got mine a few days ago and i like it for what it is. what i didn't like was that i had to go through 5 other 945's to get one without nicks in the aluminum, crappy tip, crappy centered blade etc. (and yes the boxes where all sealed). but tbh, the valet is still the better choice when you are looking for a small bm.

Theres not too much difference between them. S30V potentially has the best edge retention of the 3.

S30V? 🥱 They should use better options on steel. It's always the same boring S30V and if you gonna pay 150 Bugs more you get S90V or stuff like that.

@Pancho KnowsBass for sharpening I am using a worksharp Ken onion, so difficult is okay for me. I would like to see steel like M4, Cruwear etc. S35VN is okay but pretty Standard especially for the price.
