Duesenberg definitely has a distinct tone to a Gretsch. Nice guitar.

Misleading title . . . no comparison or discussion regarding Duesenberg vs. Gretsch? Whatever - I own both and they have their own character. Enjoy your guitar.

Could not agree more, I own 3 of one and 4 of the other, none of them are at all similar!

Gretsch guitars are anything but garbage.

I would hate to see someone make such a sweeping statement about any brand. I also would have a hard time taking anyone seriously who thinks they are garbage. Thanks for watching!

Gretsch isn’t Gretsch anymore. They got bought by Fender and became co-opted garbage

I forgot that Gretsch was bought by Fender. Thanks for watching!

Nope, Gretsch is still owned by Fred Gretsch and the family. They made a deal with Fender to deal with the distribution etc. The guitars are still being made at the same place as before (or ever since Gretsch started making guitars in Japan) but as far as I know, the quality is actually even better. The Gretsch custom shop is located at the Fender facility, that's true, but other than that, Fender doesn't really deal with the manufacturing side of Gretsch guitars. I've owned 3 "Fender era" pro-series Gretsch's and they have all been amazing guitars, really top quality.
