no, unless you are with a narcissist or a very toxic person. Otherwise, it's mean, childish, and causes anxiety. It can also trigger people with trauma around that. Experienced it first hand for the first time by someone who I trusted and knew I have abandonment issues. It triggered a panic attack which I never experienced before and gave me anxiety for months. Kung ayaw mo na, communicate it with them properly, it's called setting a boundary and basic human decency.

I totally agree with Adea, shallowness or lack of deepness in the relationship with someone whether it be friendship or suitors results in a high chance of ghosting and sometimes its not intentional kasi meron ka din friends na super close sayo, or people you are more comfortable hanging out with, if you entertain them, distracted ka from those people na wala ka naman closeness. The hardest part is, tatampo sila na wala ka na pero hindi mo naman ginusto. Pero I try as much as possible to accommodate my time with everyone.

the thing about ghosting, it's that you dont know how much you affected and made an impact on that person. Say for example if the person you ghosted with is known for ovethinking, and being generally anxious, ghosting that said person will definitely leave an emotional mark and impact on them; contemplating things on what they did wrong, etc. At the end of the day, if you have problems with the person, confront them, talk to them! The act of ghosting is purely insensitive and an extremely selfish move. Edit: exceptions to this are relationships that are in bound of a toxic and an abusive one, where it is beyond help and no communication can remedy it. Petty things like "ay wala, di ko lang feel yung relationship", just no.

Agree with this. I was ghosted by the same person three times. I was the first one to have feelings for him, and I kept it a secret for more than a month. When he found out, he came to me, talk to me then soon confessed he likes me too, even he was the first to say he loves me. I was naive and seeking for validation at the time, I was depressed for more than a year. When he ghosted me for the first time, I thought that was the end of it but he came back and I welcomed him, over and over again. My depression got worse after he left and I basically asked for his friends' help for I got suicidal because the way he ghosted me again and again made me feel how worthless I am as a person. I can't sleep, I always cry in my room, basically just waking up to cry then cry myself to sleep. I just want to talk to him so we could end things properly, hoping I will feel better. In the end, I had closure with him, I honestly told him that he made me feel like I was a trash and he confessed he ghost women for fun haha. Anyways, sorry for the drama. It's almost three years now and I'm better off without him. I hope he's happy though, and I hope no one will make him feel the way he did to me.

Kakaghost lang sakin like a week ago. What perfect timing to watch this and to experience halloween 2022. Were exclusively dating for quite some time. May holding hands, hugs, we shared fun experiences, so were hitting it off pretty well. It went downhill lang when we had a misunderstanding and she cant be an adult to work things out with me. Gave her time to compose herself but one month without proper communication and barely any reply from her is enough for me to know where I stand. Sayang. I really like her a lot.

My ex ghosted me days after our anniversary. Literally, nagising ka nalang isang araw wala ka na replies, messages, deleted na mga pics nyo and all. It affected me emotionally, mentally and physically I think. Masakit sobra. No reasons given. Pero I gave myself time to heal the wounds, hindi siya naging madali. I gave myself time limit. One reason also that's why I grind and do my best in life. I am happy where I am right now. Thank you.

Personally, I think ghosting is okay if the connection you have with the person is too shallow. Puro hi and hello, saka how are you lang conversation niyo almost everyday. However, ghosting is never okay if there's emotional investment na involved. Kapag deep na yung connection and there's real intimacy then bigla kang nang-ghost? No that's immaturity.

Ghosting for me is only acceptable kapag the other party is toxic like a harasser. But it should never be accepted kapag di mo lang trip kahit early stages pa lang. That's still a person and might affect them negatively. Just communicate why it doesnt work out. Number on rule is just be honest and kind.

I dated a guy before and ended up ghosting him. We were just at the getting-to-know stage and I realized I don't like him romantically. I communicated this to him but he kept insisting on courting me. I told him that he could do whatever he wanted but I'm also free to do what I wanted. He continued his courtship but the more I kept entertaining him, the more I gave him hope that there could be a chance for us. That's when I decided to ghost him since it felt like that was the best option. I told him how I felt but he kept pushing...ghosting was the best option to cut both our losses early.

Ang lungkot lang when you are a friend of convenience tapos parang alam mo yon, ayaw niyang makita siya ng ibang tao na kasama ka. Like literally, wala ka namang ginawang masama. You thought you were friends pero wala, hindi naman pala talaga. Wala manlang respeto to tell you na “no kind of relationship even friendship“ would work for us. It really made me feel that I am not enough or too much pero when I think of it, I have never been too much- ever. So, nakaka trauma lang talaga to be ghosted. Sobra

So here's the thing: It happened 2 years ago and I'm over it. I'm in such a better place now. Pero siguro ang pinakanatutunan ko sa experience is that may mga tao talagang darating lang sa buhay natin kasi may kailangan pero hindi nila kayang maging tapat in the long run. Take note, THIS HAPPENED DURING THE EARLY MONTHS OF THE PANDEMIC. Kung kelan naging maganda yung friendship niyo, nagising ka na lang one day na hindi mo na alam bakit deleted lahat ng posts niya. Hindi rin sumasagot sa messages kasi deactivated ang FB account. Mapapatanong ka na lang ng kahit ano. Sinadya niya ba o nagkataon lang? Ok lang ba siya? GINAWA NIYA TO SAKIN DURING MY 21ST BIRTHDAY. It took me at least a year and a half para maka move on. I've chosen not to hold on to my resentment pero sabi nga nila, you can forgive the person but it's hard to forget what they did to you. Sayang kasi malalim na yung friendship. Kung magkita man kami in the future, ok lang. Pero sana aware siya sa nagawa niya.

The guy that i was talking to for few months was so good to me, all i see are green flags. he’s straight but he never judged my sexuality. He welcomed all my rants in life, asked me sometimes to play video games and go to the gym with him, and even supported me while my brother was hospitalized due to accident. Then may ilang oras lang nabusy siya so tapos nag post ako ng something cryptic sa ig na it wasn’t for him. He saw it then hindi na siya nagrereply sa messages ko the next thing. I wasn’t blocked but he does not reply. That goes with ghosting parin I think. Hindi ko siya masisisi bakit nag cut siya ng connection between us. Malamang nasakala siya sa akin at malamang na off siya sa akin. He was so good though through those times kasi never niya pinaramdaman na too much ako pala, na sana sinabi na lang niya. Nag try ako mag reach out sa kanya pero wala pa rin kaya paunti unti nag-gigive up na ako sa connection kasi araw araw nalulungkot lang ako. Hindi ko siya masisisi na nasakal siya sakin, but it was too traumatic.

We ghosted each other because I didn't establish my commitment to the other party. It was unclear in both our parts. That's after I took him out to dates, cooked him breakfasts, had sex, lend him my money lol. Anyhow didn't regret all of it as I've learned enough and I thought if I could do all those to the wrong person, then what more I can do to the right one.

Whether the reason is good or bad, ghosting is still unacceptable. Kung Hindi mo man Ganon kagusto Yung tao, that person still deserved an explanation. Its better to move on and let go on a break up that you knew what's the reason of your break up than to think everyday what's your fault. You'll keep on asking why it's happened. You will be anxious and have trust issues on your next relationships and will think that they gonna left you again. I find it better to have a 3rd party than to be ghosted at least knew why your relationship end up like that. The one who did that "ghosting" will never gonna know how worst is the feeling of being ghosted. It's the worst feeling na "maiwan sa ere" Exception to this are the relationships that is abusive. If your partner is like that, no need to think just leave.
