We have made the transition from full-time software professionals from the SF Bay Area to liveaboard sailing explorers who always keep one eye on the weather and our hearts in a song. Our goal is to complete a circumnavigation and we recently transitioned to a performance catamaran and are madly in love with our Outremer 52.
We are working with Outremer in France (with the help of Google Translate) to launch our boat project and start our journey as sailing vagabonds. While it’s not a race or speed test, we are doing our first Bluewater crossing this year and we are excited to see AWEN stretch her legs and dance on the water.
Join us as we share what we’re learning living without Amazon, (but with Starlink), and attempt this new life of travel and adventure on the ocean. great video as usual :) they're not called the windward island for nothing eh? we'll done with the passage! - & 3 months ago I was diagnosed with a melanoma on my chest, it's the one you don't want; 2 surgeries revealed that thankfully it hadn't gone anywhere you wouldn't want it to, but they have to dig deep & wide to get rid of it, 26 stitches & 8 weeks no movement later I'm back up and running; so- Stefane, definitely get that factor 50 on, & regularly check each other, and spread the word, these guys can kill.

Been following you quietly since we found you through Megan and Nick, such an amazing journey you’ve been on and love your honesty and humour! Very refreshing and always fun to watch. Have learned so much from you through your sailing as well, our Cat, a Looping 50 (we had N&M aboard but weren’t keen on going out in 30+ kts with them on the day we had with them!) is also “performance” probably to a much greater degree than we realised when we bought her…. I think of you often, especially when watching the weather for the eastern Caribbean, and wonder how it's going for you. Thank you for another installment of your vlog. They are beautiful, authentic, and you background music transitions is nice. I love that you two are on such a grand adventure, living on the sea, and you're so inspirational. You mean the pin for the Watt & Sea? It fell overboard and we couldn’t find the spare. Of course we found it after we bought new ones. As for the fridge, Outremer’s after service fixed it in minutes once we arrived here in Martinique this week. They installed a new thermostat which we should have just had them do back in Cannes.

The simple answer is ads are annoying and you have to have a million subscribers to make money off KZbin ads. Fundamentally, we believe our viewers are people interested in the gritty details of sailing as a couple on a performance cat so we don’t have illusions that we have broad appeal like other channels or channels with kids who pull a much wider audience. Also, we love the freedom and purity that comes from creating content we like and not worrying about any financial impact. We haven’t ruled out Patreon or something at some point when we have something of value to offer (extra content etc.) we just don’t know what that is yet. Ideas welcome! 🙏💡what we love the most is all the comments!!! 💕

Wow....i enjoy your programs. i did a two and a three day passage and i never slept a wink on either one of them. We had no autopilot but i would not have slept anyway. I got so tired the clouds look green and like trees and me wondering if i was off course. I don't ever want to be that tired again. I can't sleep on a moving boat. I don't know how you do it.
