Punk is a truly incredible whiff punisher though, on a level most people won't come close to matching, the way he can still use Cammy just fine is due to his use of those tools and I feel he's hurting way less than the majority of the Cammy players who don't have his chops in neutral.

If i survived the horrid days of her in The New Challengers and Super Turbo 2, this one will be a piece of cake. By the way, if you were a dumb bot that just mash crouching MP all the time, yeah , that´s right, you´re screwed. She still strong. I mean, about the OD SPIKE not sideswitching anymore, look the bright side. At least you can use it without cornering yourself. And if you´re cornered, connecting OD SPIKE gives you enough breath space for at least dashing once and sitll be +1f. The OD TK Cannon Strike PUNISH vs Throw attempts is still viable, but now you can´t use the Lift Combination TC for side switching. Still , you can use a light attacks combo to get out of the corner, make your opponent closer to the corner with a spiral arrow finish or corner carrying with LV1. No big deal. And if the opponent block OD cannon strike you aren´t open to a punish. I think Capcom isn´t more severe with Cammy because her lack of a a projectile and a good drive rush. Her DR is slow and short. Also lacking a command overhead and not being too efficient with the drive gauge management. And , as we´re looking with this CAPCOM and his patches, i see that unlike other SF eras, they ´re not using the KILLING treatment. LUKE, DEE JAY and JP were the big losers in season 1, and after that patch, Capcom , at a slow pace is giving them tools to rise again! Great vid!

Cammy is fine, although cammy was top tier all the way through SFV, literally top tier every season until maybe the last patch. Then top tier all the way through SF6 season 1 and half of two. Now all they’ve done is taken away her free fucking side switch reversal and made it so she can’t whiff cr.mp for free in neutral with no consequence. She’s gone from triple S to S or A tier. As a Cammy main, I don't mind the 2.Mp nerf. What I mind is them taking away some of Cammy's side switch options. Imo, Cammy's ability to side switch off her specials was a pretty unique bit of her identity as a SF character. Cannon Drill, Cannon Spike and Spin Knuckle can each switch sides. I think that really started in SF5, but it's a unique and fun gimmick. Imo, they should never nerf what makes the character unique. It sort of feels like a homogenization effort, and makes the character feel a little less fun to play because of that. I would have preferred just a damage reduction on Ex Canon Spike, but keep what makes that reversal unique... the side switch. In the last patch, they also made it harder to punish projectiles using Spin Knuckle. So, another unique element of the character was hit in the previous patch. In the last 2 patches, Spin Knuckle, instant-air Canon Strike, and Ex Canon Spike have all had unique functionalities reduced, or removed. That's the issue I have with the nerfs. It's about keeping the identity of the character strong, even if you have to reduce the power of some things for balance's sake.

What's with the click bait? No Cammy player (No good or decent Cammy player anyways) thought the character was nerfed hard. They were fair nerfs, everything else that makes her good is still there. She's still arguably top tier. (1800 Cammy/Kim here) Her 2MP is still better than most characters. Her EXDP is still better than the one Kimberly does not have. (Now her DP just works like it did in older games) The list goes on.
