Minecraft demo has been around WAY longer than Microsoft, I vividly remember playing it in my browser when I first heard about Minecraft in 2012, my first ever real survival world was just a continuation of my demo world that I started before I got Minecraft for my birthday

FUN FACT! Back in the day when i was a broke a$$ playing mc trial 1.12.2, sometimes when the world failed to load, the game would randomly enter the multiplayer menu and i could join servers while playing on trial. Also most people know this, but if you open the trial world to LAN and allow commands, you could switch gamemodes.

if you use barrier blocks as the floor, a green wall, and the floor does not touch the wall, you'll get a perfect green screen. Zisteay did something like that back in the day (before the barrier block) by using texture packs
