fun fact: the star bits falling from the sky aren't infinite. they work like the boulders, where a certain amount of them collected means the falling star bit just gets destroyed upon impact instead of spawning a bunch.

Something that might help you with challenges like this, I dont remember if it was Mario Galaxy 1 or 2 or both, but if player 2 holds the A button (pretty sure it was A) a ring appears around their cursor and any bits that touch the ring are collected.

Shouldn't it be required for you to kill all the Chomps to get their star bits since you can just use 2nd player to hold the Chomps in place while the next Chomp that spawns crashes into them and releases star bits? You don't need the rainbow power up to kill them. Apologies if I'm just misunderstanding the rules.

2:55 - 3:02 i had something like that happen to me but not in mario galaxy, i was playing octo expansion fighting agent 3 (the one before the final boss not inner agent 3) and somehow i defeated agent 3, the cutscene was playing, but i was also dead and that resulted in the sound effects for the weapons shooting and agent 3 or 8 making any sound effects for when they were hurt or just making sound effects in general not working ._.

In the Haunty Halls Galaxy, if you have a second player (as in another human) you can probably beat the challenge room. (After all, player 2 is a Luma in this game which can spin attack enemies)

I need to come back to this vid to say this, just watched chuggas new 1st episode and I remembered. But there is a problem with collecting every star bit you see. In the cutscene of going onto the comet that eventually becomes starship Mario there is two starbits that are located where the eyes will eventually be. Since you are locked In a cutscene you can't get them and when you create the ship they dissapear. I just needed to tell people about this.
