hey! i actually work at the express and its part of our training!!! the idea is that when were in our blue vests were muggles and red vests is witches/wizards!! so fun and kids get so into it! hope this helped!!

Imagine if they made an actual Hogwarts castle as accurate as it can be in real life and had a resort experience where you had to take the train to get there, could sleep in the dormitories, go to classes, mandatory dress code being Hogwarts robes, etc. I saw somewhere saying it would cost around $170 million dollars to build, this seems like a drop in the hat for Warner Bros.

while it isn’t exactly the same, there is a castle in england where they do an annual larping event where you are sorted and can attend classes. it’s called bothwell school of witchcraft, and is heavily inspired by harry potter, but could not be called hogwarts due to copyright. momo o’brien did a great video about it in her channel if you want to know more :)

Agreed. I would have loved to pay for that experience, especially the Sorting Hat and asked for Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff. With respect to Potions, just exchanging insults with Snape, Malfoy, Pansy, Goyle, Zabini, and other Slytherin cretins would be worth the cost of a ticket!

Nifflers actually are in Harry Potter. In the 4th book Hagrad actually teaches a lesson on them, the children each get to take one and let it loose in the pumpkin patch to find Leprechaun gold that Hagrad has buried. That’s when Ron finds out that the gold he paid Harry back for the Omnioculars at the World Cup disappeared.

So I recently went to Universal Studios Orlando / IOA and OBVIOUSLY went on Gringotts. While we were waiting in line in the first grand bank teller room with the chandeliers and goblins... I didn’t know you could interact with the goblins!!! I asked one of them “hey! Can you look at me”? And it literally looked up from its paperwork and creepily turned its head directly at me!! I tried it with multiple goblins and it worked every time!!! So crazy!!!

I'm an Aussie and when I went to the States a few years back I visited Universal Studios in Orlando...whilst I was waiting in a cue for something in Hogsmeade I spotted a squirrel run across the snow caped roof of one of the buildings and I thought that was so perfect...we don't have squirrels in Oz so it was pleasant to have that memory of my visit...probably nothing to you guys, but lovely for us Aussies...also, being in Hogsmeade at dusk is divine...

Isn’t it pretty similar in Disney too? The rules might be stricter but I’m sure people do the same with their masks. I just wouldn’t go for a few months or this year at all to either of them. *Even with the vaccine*

@@ima.m.1658 no, at Disney you aren't allowed to remove the mask unless you are standing stationary to eat etc. You can't walk around without on and you certainly can't remove it standing in line. They will gently remind you to put it back on, but if you continue to pull it down or refuse to put it back on, you're kicked out.

when the parks were just beginning to reopen everyone wore masks and the parks were extremely strict about it. i didn’t see a single person without a mask unless they were eating or in a designated resting area the few times i’ve gone. but i also haven’t been on spring break and i know the parks were at capacity then so i’m not rly surprised

I always do the Hogwarts Express first thing too! Don’t reveal my secret! 🤪 I always figure no one wants to travel park-to-park as soon as they get into the park, so I treat it as my first ride!

You'll feel that way when you enter Honeydukes and actually see all the incredible confections seen in the movie. Ditto for shopping in the souvenir shop after exiting Ollivander's Wand shop: lots of great stuff there. You'll find Hogwarts House robes hanging from a clothes rack and wands galore in long boxes stacked on shelves that reach to the ceiling.

Those rides at HP got me 🤣. Definitely whipped me around... Wasn't expecting it lol. If you get an express pass you can def get through all the rides with enough time to do both restaurants and other stuff. Most merch in stores are about the same fyi.
