If any one is interested in beauty bay palettes you should start with the dark colors first and blend out with the lighter colors hope this helps I love their formula especially for the price the wilderness palette is the best beautybay palette thus far

I bought this the second it launched as I love BeautyBay shimmers. I really enjoy the shade Chandelier and can see a slight lilac/lavender shift in mine. Glove definitely works best with pack and blend but it is still not great. The odd thing with BeautyBay purples is I find the cooler toned ones usually blend better than the warmer plummy ones. Overall I like this palette but the lightest shades look almost white on me. I am going to try them with an all matte 60s kinda look as I think that could be quite interesting.

omg YES I AGREE TOO! I never even noticed that until you mentioned it but I 100% agree! With Age of Opulence the raspberry ones are tricky but with the 42 Bright Matte the blue based ones are some of the best in my collection. That sounds like itd be super cool! Like a 60's mod look?

I have not ever actually had the opportunity to try a beauty Bay palette, but from the looks of their shimmers, I know they are stunning but I'm trying to find a brand that has shimmers that are comparable to these. Would you say that Glamlite shimmers are similar in formula? Or what other brand would you compare these shimmers to? They almost look like a super shock... 💕💕💕

Theyre kind of like a cream to powder formula almost! I havent tried many Glamlite palettes but I'd say they're kind of similar to the Mikayla palette shimmers if you have that one or the Colourpop Super Shock Shadow Ultra Glitter/Ultra Metallic Formulas! If you just want the experience of them and dont want to buy a palette I'd just get the CP Super Shock Shadows :) Just make sure you look out for the ones in the Ultra Glitter or Ultra Metallic Formula because those are the ones that have way more pizazz!

I totally agree. BeautyBay 42 bright matte shadows have better formula than the 16 pan ones. Pan sizes are the same so you can depot and replaced them. They not magnetic of course.

I will say I looooove my wilderness palette for this size of palette and the Makeup By Mitchell palette but the 42 bright matte is just so underrated!

Strangely enough, the matte dark purple "Rowdy" from ABH Sub-culture palette is my favorite dark purple... I use it Every day pretty much n love it. Its so dark n saturated...

It's ok what I like is the eyeseek cool fruit feast it's 64 colors in one palette. It's only 14 to 17 dollars on ebay, amazon and other sites. I have other eyeseek palettes beautiful color, try it!

I didnt think it was China, I thought if it wasn't FDA approved/sold in the US that it could be considered unsafe. Or if you buy counterfeits! I have super sensitive skin and Im like overly cautious with everything so Im not sure. Ive heard amazing things about amazon makeup though!

I heard so many people say that this palette was way too light, all the tones were only for people with super fair skin tones, but I think it's a beautiful palette and I'm bummed that I missed it cause it's sold out now. 😩😩😩 I'm always missing out on these palettes, there was another Beauty Bay palette that was "in this line" of palettes that I missed out on and it was so beautiful as well... It was the book of spells and I can't find one anywhere now, not even on mercari! 😩😩

They usually do a few restocks on them when they're limited edition! I used the Lilac shade over on Tiktok today and it kind of applies darker than it looks in the pan. Defs need a light colored tacky primer.. Are you talking Book of Magic? I'll be honest that ones good but the 42 Bright Matte has near identical mattes in it! Just dont pay full price for Beauty Bay with their permanent palettes because they always have a good sale running (usually at least 20% off but that one can get like 50%+ off once in awhile!)

The only reason I would get this palette is for the shimmers. Those pastels look so chalky and not for deeper skin. What a disappointment.

I've tried a lot of pastels and unfortunately its super hard to find ones that don't require a tacky primer underneath! I wouldnt say these are chalky though, Ive used a few not and they're just more of a lighter shade, they dont apply patchy or uneven for me and layer really well!
