Its beautiful. I'd buy it if I didn't already own Kiwi Ink A Witch's Potion which has a stronger sheen to it.

Buy it because the advertising people are not telling us how difficult is is to get any green sheen. On cotton rag paper, onion paper ie tracing paper now rebranded, on the rhodea, leicheturn 1911 , on travellers notebook plain Sketch paper, on w&n and Daler Rowney calligraphy paper it just looks a dull purple dioxazine. I regret buying it. The wonders of editing make ink look way better than the thing we get. Sienna 54 , learned to write with a parker 51, only ever used fountain pens not as a hobby but because my school demanded it. Truth is everyone is upset because it doesn't sheen on 99% of paper and in a parker 51, old from 1950 medium nib and a new one 2023 m nib , it's purple, no sheen, in a TWSBI Eco it's not sheening, in the Lamy BlackBerry with stub nib no sheen not even on e-sumi paper. How on earth do influencers get it to have a slight sheen? And it's really not very sheening on anyones vid but the dioxazine purple is a nice dark. I regret buying it because it's got minimal sheen , mine has none even after shaking and using with a rigger brush. With pens zero sheen! Help please! I feel people are upset because it's just not what they advertised. Using ai and editing can make ink look awesome then you get it through your letterbox and it's another dull ink.

After seeing a comparison between the first release and this release, I have to say the 2024 release is closer to what I would think of when I think of dark Lilacs. Lilac bushes are dark to medium dark green leaves with the actual lilac flowers ranging from white to pink, pale purple to the dark almost eggplant purple. I don’t think of dark purple and gold (the original edition of this ink) I think of green and purple. So really the original formula should have been something like royal purple instead of dark lilac. This one seems more correctly colored and named and I love it.

​​@@HemingwayJones Different shades of blues and blacks (very little use of black). Anyway I use any one colour at any given time, and till the bottle is empty, I don't buy the next ink. Thanks for your reply. Right now Pilot blue ink is one of my favourites. I would like to try Kon peki as I like the colour, but iroshizuku is too over priced 🙁

I bought it. It doesn't shine, it's another dioxazine purple and nice but doesn't sheen, not even on swatches. Anyone know a good paper to get it to sheen? I have seen zero sheen on travellers paper, on leuchestien 1911 , rhodio , moleskin, I have it in my Kaweco bronze stub , my Lamy BlackBerry 1.5 nib and in my parker 51 medium but it's not sheening anywhere? What an i doing wrong? All help very welcome please!

It should sheen. I wonder if they sent you the wrong one. It’s not marked. I wasn’t sure when I got it. It looks good on watercolor paper and Rhodia. I don’t know what happened.
