It wasn't 45 thousand uncommitted voters in the Michigan Democratic primary, it was 101 thousand or 13% of the vote. This was over 10 times the hoped for target. It's clear that it's not just Arab American voters that are making a protest vote but many others too, including many Jewish Americans. This is even more likely to effect the Labour party in the UK as the strength of feeling is stronger and more broadly based. The result in Rochdale and Labour's massive opinion poll lead will only encourage more dissenting voters and alternative candidates.

Cleverly got very close to saying out loud what has been obvious for a couple of decades now- non violent protest doesn’t work.

@@annepoitrineau5650 won’t work either. That time has passed. If your protest is not in line with the direction of the majority of the heard, or if it inconveniences them, it will be ignored and if it cannot be ignored it will be crushed. The time of pluralism in democracy has ended, if you are a minority you will get no positive response.
