Thibs seems like an anxious guy. So anxious and worried about losing a solid lead, not trusting rookies. Its not a good mentality to have, and jts bothersome. Kolek aint ready, but id like to see pacome and ariel given an opportunity. To answer steves point. Quentin grimes is playing well after being in the doghouse, and obi toppin gets his 20 mins for a playoff team

100 but it will never happen. you can give Thibs 10 Lebron's he will only play seven and maybe give the 8th 7 minutes and 4-5 of the starters 38-40 plus minutes. He's been doing it for 3 years but he's getting worst every year. jacking up the minutes a little more for the starters. it use to be 36-40 now it's 38-40 plus and sometimes 48 aka Josh Hart

Meh idk about that, he played the bench last year pre og trade and pre julius injury. He's definitely NOT playing this bench though, and he annoys me.

Do I wish Thibs played his bench more? Yes. Do I see what goes on during practice? No. Have I worked my way up coaching in the NBA for years, kept a winning record, and won COY twice? No. But Thibs does and has. Reason, if not common sense, dictates that he ought to be given the benefit of the doubt. Several of his players on different teams he’s coached vouch for him. Do I know better than them? No. Several players have followed him and like playing for him, most notably D-Rose who became MVP in his rookie year. And people say Thibs doesn’t play rookies and doesn’t develop players! IQ developed as a rookie under Thibs. Josh Hart was a journeyman before he got to NY under Thibs - almost similar to fellow former Laker Randle who became an all-star in NY under Thibs. When Cam and Obi were with the Knicks, fans criticized Thibs for not playing them more. SInce they got traded, have they proven Thibs wrong? No. Look, the Knicks basically have a new starting 5 who need time to play together to develop better chemistry and gel. Maybe, that’s part of the reason they play many minutes in games, especially if their practices are mostly light drills and film sessions. I wish fans would have the humility and sense to behave like true fans and stick to supporting the Knicks by giving positive energy through wins and losses rather than entertaining grand delusions as if they know better than Thibs and his coaching staff.

That still doesn’t change the fact that it is literally common sense to run a 10 man rotation. We have the players for it he just refuses to use them and that’s his downfall. If Thibs were a baseball coach he would have one pitcher throw for the whole game. All 9 innings. This is what makes him an overrated coach. I love my Knicks but it’s almost like he is trying to simultaneously. It’s incredibly frustrating. He needs to stop being so stubborn. With this type of coaching we will just lose in the post season from being burned out. It has happened to him several times but he is blatantly ignorant and doesn’t learn from his mistakes which REALLY pisses me off. If he doesn’t change its time to fire him.

These are the players that rest on most back to backs or don't even play. Jokic, , Doncic and Morant (both currently out with injury now)Lebron, Davis, Tatum, Brown, Mitchell, Embid , George etc. These are the players that play 40 minutes on back to backs Towns, Bridges, OG, Brunson and Hart. I rest my case.

The only time I'm really willing to give someone the venefit of the doubt is a previous championship or sustained RECENT success at a high level. He has neither. He's been great, don't get me wrong, but he's getting exposed and outcosched imo. Degnault, moseley and Snyder have all out coached him in their match ups. Out of the top teams, he has the shortest bench and least bench minutes.

As a rebhttal to obi toppin, he may not be putting up crazy numbers but he's proven to at least get meaningful minutes and contribute. Same for quentin grimes on the mavs, who are right now a better team than the knicks.

@@phamawa Useful players. when we had them the Thibs supporters all said they were not good enough. smh You let Kolek and Hurkporti on other teams and they will be serviceable rookies. They can't get 5 minutes under Thibs and not even for one game. its ridiculous. He rather burn out the starters even in blowouts and not have a healthy and rested team for the playoffs. stubborn to a fault
