Is it Time to Give Up on Getting this Flathead V8 Running?

I vote pull the motor get it on a stand and clean it up and paint it!

I was hoping to get it at least turning over with a starter before pulling out of the truck.

@DougsMessyGarage I fought the same battle with my old '64 Chevy C20. Wanted so bad to get the 327 running. Ended up pulling it and throwing in a 283 so I could at least get it running. 327 ended up needing machining from all the rust and corrosion. But it did give me the opportunity to paint the whole engine bay and motor. Patina on the outside but looking fresh under the hood!
