Jake Ackerman we offer both left and right handed sticks. As stated in the campaign materials, we will confirm all details after the campaign closes (LH/RH, flex, shipping address, etc.) This is not our decision but is the approach set by Kickstarter.

When I was a kid @ 10 a guy in town pattened the "hughes bi blade". Was from a great hockey family who owned a store in canton mass. The gentleman passed away years ago. The blade split at the end, curved left and right to give you a better backhand shot. Never caught on but was nice enough to give me one.

The stick is legal for play. We have received formal approval from USA Hockey and the stick conforms to the rules of the NCAA and NHL. We have submitted the stick for formal review by Hockey Canada and are waiting for their response.

Floorball called, they want their stick tech back. I had a stick like this years ago when playing floorball. It was supposed to help with power and accuracy. Power part? Nah, already had a very powerful shot and it didn't make it more so. Accuracy? Maybe, the kick the bend added to the shot took a while to get used but after that it was fine. Floorball has a lot of different shafts(bent all over the place) and I found the best type to be the bubble shaft. It adds a bubble below the grip(widens the shaft, not actually a sphere in the shaft) on the shaft to shift the flex point of the stick closer to the blade, giving it a better kick.

In floorball most forwards use curved sticks since they ”snap” or flex forward more when you shot so I recon it could be the same for hockey sticks

this is a stick design heavily used in floorball which is very similar to hockey. The floorball pros say it helps. Maybe the concept is coming to hockey sticks too

Curved sticks came first time to floorball/unihockey like 2005. I doubt that this innovation became popular in floorball after all these years. Floorball is similar sport as hockey. Teuvo Teräväinen used to play it during his junior years. I guess in floorball these curved sticks were used by wingers who score with sweeping wrister (kind of like EA glitch goal :D)

The Columbus Blue Jackets have a cannon instead of a regular goal horn. Its one of the things that they are known for. The shirt references that as well as the don't take a knife to a gun fight saying.

Are there any limitations on cutting the stick down to a preferred height? It seems like it might impact the benefit of the curve if it is cut. Also, what is the flex like? I am very curious about this...

Hockey Sense As with any carbon fiber stick, cutting more than 3” off the stick will impact the characteristics (flex, kickpoint). Our sticks are designed to be used with up to 3” cut off the end.

Looks wicked man...but any player with solid hand eye coordination and technique can make a cheap, straight stick work wonders as well. So that subtle difference wouldn't matter much unless the price was reasonable. How much does it cost?

Elevate Hockey of course I don't use a straight blade. My question, is that subtle difference with the shaft worth the price? I don't know how much the stick is worth. If it were reasonable I would consider it for sure. You have to expect some skepticism when changing such a thing.

XxHOSSAxX 81 No question we expect skepticism. Just making the point that a small subtle curve makes a significant difference in the performance. Of our test players, more than 90% rated the stick better than their usual straight stick. Our plan is to price the stick similarly to other comparable quality sticks.
