Try playing a couple of games. The QR code bothered me at first, but not much at all after having the cards in hand for a bit.

Some of your packs didnt seem to have a token card or maybe it wasn't black on the back?

Those are the mana convergence cards. They are tokens that can go in your deck for limited play, so they have the regular back on them.
