Grinding in a circle for 1-2 hours a day feels like a chore to me, which means I spend most of my time doing suboptimal stuff that people shit on "lol just go grind"

Personally, I think there is a difference between "are they worth it" and "is it worth it to go to every single one." When you have 10+ characters, what are you doing with the majority of them? Might as well put them at bosses and if you are free, switch over and do them. Practically free loot. Besides Kutum, the normal versions all die within a couple of minutes. I just got a Iridescent Lightstone from a normal Karanda. Sure, it is the first time I have ever gotten that from a world boss, but still. I've gotten a karanda heart, a kutum heart, and two garmoth hearts in the time I have been playing (4350 hours with leaving pc running 24/7, so I haven't played for that long. Given, I do go to them fairly often). Even if you don't get a rare drop like that, you typically get close to 10 million in gold bar and black stones on a bad drop. And honestly, I would argue that outside of Bheg, world bosses are more worth doing than field bosses. Field bosses take a lot more effort of trying to figure out where to go and which server to switch to, and they can last for an hour without you getting a single feather drop. It is possible that field bosses might pay more silver per hour overall, but that is only under the assumption that you are doing all of them and the loot averages out. You need to do multiple of them to get a feather or crystal. At that point, you could have spent an hour grinding somewhere else for more silver. At least with world bosses they are simple and take very little time. But like you said, to each their own. If you don't like it, don't do it. But I would say yes, it is worth it to have them purely due to the fact that there is no way you are actively playing on 10, 15, 20 different characters at once. Place them at bosses, and if you are free, do it. If not, it isn't hurting you by sitting there. There really isn't any setup - some of my boss alts are using main questline armor. Just wherever I stopped playing them at. Give them a T5 horse that you don't care about and once a month bring them into the closest town for a nice payout

Boss Alts's worth heavily depends on what type of content you enjoy. If you want to maximize silver, yea it's more efficient to keep grinding. But if your endgame is sitting on Velia rooftops/afk horse training in Heidel while waiting for NW cuz grinding is boring af, might as well switch to a boss alt, no?

5 minutes : Boss Box, Belonging, Iridescent, 30+ million in gold, +30/+40FS, some mem frags(latent). Times two if it's double boss and you switch. Offin also gives mythical feathers now. Pile that up with every boss alts at every boss and you end up stacking billions pretty quickly. I got 20 boss box stacked up, ~1000 FS+30, ~500 FS+40 I don't see how it's not worth it... If you do a full run of Field boss, you can get out of there with a couple of Mythical feathers, 800+ Spirit Dust, some Crystal of Power, some Iridescent, a lot of +10 and +20 FS, and said boss armor if you're lucky. Both are totally worth it for easy money that actually DOESN'T feel like a chore, like grinding or lifeskilling. It's like the least "chore" aspect of the game...

I hate making failstones so field bosses are pog. Field bosses are annoying when the flow gets disruptued though when someone unaware of what a boss train is kills something too early

Couldn't agree more. Shouldn't really break pace just for these bosses. The time invested to reward ratio just doesn't cut it. You're basically waiting in line for a lottery that basically either really pays off or really doesn't - there's no in-between. Unless you're just twiddling your thumbs just admiring the scenery, there are more things you could be doing with your time that will guarantee a better pay off.

imo bosses are super efficient to do for money, as while you are eating and watching something and a boss spawns, if you have an alt there just to login and hit the boss once before staying afk while it dies, then you will get some loot that can sometimes be worth 1/4th of a bil or even more if you get lucky, so ye they are worth it, but not worth it to stop grinding and login just for a boss kill

Best thing I did was quitting farming, returning my fences and stop showing up for bosses. Even vell and garmoth I only go if I'm absolutely not doing anything in the game which is rarely

I always do World Bosses except for Vell, Quint and Muraka. I always get more than 1bil of silvers every two weeks from just doing 60% to 80% of all the world bosses, since I am working from home, I can attend at least 60% to 80% to all the world bosses, but if you don't have time for this, then it's not worth it. FYI, I didn't add any Latent Aura's that can be converted to Meme frags on that 1bil, if I added everything it's probably will reach more than 2bil.

Ayo my farmer is best farmer, she takes good care of my farms. Farm run = 1 minute / run. 2-3 runs per day, sometimes more. Averaging 40m/run sometimes more sometimes less

I´m only doing Garmoth since I still need the Heart. Other then that I do Nouver from time to time since I want the Nouverikant at some time. Every other Boss I dont even bother not even Vell anymore. Just not worth most of the time

If you are a hardcore grinder, who can grind hours in a row, then no, boss alts aren't worth it. You will make more money per hour just grinding like a zombie, then ever going to a boss. But I have a feeling that a significant percentage of players aren't doing 5 hour grind sessions. For such players, flipping over to tag a boss as a change of pace, a quick break, or they were just standing in town to begin with is worth it.

Short answer no, but if you already have a roster of alts, just slap them next to bosses and whenever you are online, see that notif popup and got nothing else to do just quickly switch.

I dunno in sheer value it's probably not worth it. But for me I see it as a fun break from the usual monotony of bdo. You get to interact with other players, get stuff like the auras and black stones that come in handy when they add up, as well as advice of valks. And maybe you'll get a boss gear to build fs with. I can see how those things wouldn't matter to some people though.

I think they need to double or triple the silver/gold bar rewards. Remove some of the bad rewards from them. No one needs a liverto anymore.

World boss alt certain is good to have, it saves you alot of time. If didnt have any alts I probably would not make any effort to go over there. But of course, don't do this like a Choir. If you have nothing to do then just pop in to grabs some loot. If you got something else better to do in BDO then do that instead.

I'm playing sicne 2018 and I never stopped doing world bosses. These days its only like 2-3 bosses max per day for me but I still kinda like it. I dont really grind that much anymore (2hrs max per day if even) so having to interupt my session isnt a topic for me at all. I know that I wouldnt make any silver anyway at the time bosses spawn so I just log to my alts and press some skills with minimal effort to get a few mil silver, maybe a few hundred mil if Im lucky. It doesnt feel like a burden and it adds up to a few extra bil every few weeks. Setting it up in the past took some effort for sure but Im glad having done it - wouldnt recommend for newer players tho.

I stopped doing World Bosses when I went to Kutum in the wee hours of the morning and got Thundercloud. Died like 20+ times with my alt and he despawned after 20 minutes with over half of his health. F*ck that sh*t!

Blue acting like bosses spawn every 5min, which they don't... Kutum is the only one people don't really go to so it takes more time so you can wait to log to that boss alt for a while. According to Blue Boques this is wasting all your playtime doing bosses, didn't realize people only play for 5-10min a day... Blue Boques really comes off like a whiner in this video that over exaggerates the situation. Reminds of the Choice video where instead of getting safe he just sat in the group of mobs that do a ton of dmg then went, "oh no look I died because I was trying to switch to a boss alt"... what a narrative, great content! 4 years ive had the same alt on garmoth getting it at least twice a week the entire time with no heart and 1 single shard i took the main there 2 days ago since i was semi close at yazir and got the heart never using alts again the tin foil is to strong now

The only real reason to use boss alts is for dark rifts (so you dont need to run between them) and an alt for any bosses you need the gear from (which isnt worth it at this point for most players)
