i have developed 120 and 110 film from walmart before, the envelope does say "negatives will not be returned" but i would write "please return negatives, thank you." and when the film is developed i would get my negatives back every time.

Hi Teodore if you tackle a project and put up a mini dark room convenient to your space, you might just find a new pleasure :) ...what the heck, you do camera repairs for fun ..what could be more complex than that ?!

I started watching you back when I was still in the Philippines with a mini 8 and years later I am now in New York with all the formats 🥹🥹 You made me love instant photography!!

Honestly I've always been on the fence with sending my film somewhere just for the fact that I would get my negatives back. After watching your video though, I feel like I'm just going to bite the bullet and send them through Walgreens or Walmart. I just want to see how my photos came out. I'm not going to be nit-picky on re-scanning the negatives from other places anyways.

This sounds incredibly outdated and quite discouraging for someone who got interested in film photography in Vietnam and is now moving back to the states 😩 it currently takes me three dollars to have a roll developed and scanned within three days (but I usually receive them within 24 hours digitally). I can pick up the negatives afterwards as well.

Yes, unfortunately film is not as mainstream as it used to be that is why the process is outdated. The process hasn't updated since the 2000s. Mostly everyone just uses their phone now. You can take it to independent film developers, but usually it will cost an arm and a leg to develop and take a bit of time to get back. I was amazed as to how much 3 rolls of film cost to develop when I went to Vietnam. It was 120k VND for 3 rolls that will get developed the same day!

Never give up your negatives!

Yes!! But why do they not keep them for us?
@hectorbarriga43687 ай бұрын
@@itsTeodore yeah I wouldn’t give them any business. In your journey as a photographer you might get into scanning film and making better scans yourself and with lout your negatives you are stuck with only the scans from a soulless machine. Only you know what your photography should end up looking like.
