Wow, great job you two! Enjoyed your commentary. Crazy of all places, mini golf Ugh 🙄 I sense Stephanie might just be a fan of Effy's. Yeah, the up charges could be a bit of a turn off. I would think, a ship that size you would need to do a B2B But yeah, to park at the port for 2 weeks, ouch! I really appreciate how thorough this review was, and the comparisons to other ships was helpful. My husband and I are trying to determine what cruise line we want to build our loyalty status with, and booked on the icon to test out Royal. I really hope that we enjoy it, because others seem to enjoy Royal Caribbean so much, but the hyper on the ship was so much, it just doesn’t seem like it’s matching, the actual experiences of guests. Thank you again!

Glad you enjoyed it Elise! This ship is amazing…. I just don’t think it’s for everyone. Some people will take advantage of all she has to offer while many others would enjoy different ships just as much, but would cost less. I hope you have a great cruise and let us know if you have any questions.

Looks amazing! I just wish Royal Caribbean wasn’t gouging people. Between the overall price for a cabin, the extras and now the parking structure it may be awhile before I think of booking the Icon. Nothing wrong with the oasis class! But as always fabulous video. So informative!

It is not Royal’s parking lot, is the city of Miami Port Authority. There are at least two parking garages near by the port, they have transportation to the port and we have paid $15.00 a day, these are garages not open parking lots. Good security!

May i ask what was your on boarding time and when you got on board in 5 minutes did you arrive much earlier? Our experience with RCL is we always arrive very early and dont ever run into a problem boarding mid morning. thanks

We were just a tad bit early…. We did have some friends that were very early and still got in quick as well, though that’s not always the case…

Your reviews are every bit as good as your ship tours! Some of the subjects you talked about confirmed a lot of what I had heard about Royal Caribbean nickel-and-diming the guests but it sounds like you still had a great time! It’s so cool that the ship has an escalator. Bummer about the escape room. This is definitely a ship I want to sail on. Great video!

Thanks guys! It would be hard NOT having a good time on this ship. In fact, if RCCL wants to comp us another week onboard, I will try to prove that’s it’s impossible to sail Icon and not have a good time…. I won’t hold my breath for the call…
