Since we started researching what we couldn't miss on our trip to Turkey, Pamukkale always stood out!
In Turkish, Pamukkale means Cotton Castle and you can understand why: as soon as you arrive in the city, you can see a white mountain - easily mistaken for snow or even cotton.
The region has been adored since the time of the Roman Empire as a sacred place, especially for its thermal waters! You can see this and much more by visiting the ruins of the ancient city of Hierapolis, also present in the Pamukkale complex.
🏨 Hotel we stayed at in Pamukkale. Very comfortable, overlooking the Cotton Castle and great restaurant/breakfast.
