Podz is a natural rebounder. But also, he doesnt always have as much of a defensive task as Kuminga so he has a better chance of tracking the ball

Kerr wants JK to play the 4, but he is guarding PGs, SGs, and small forwards. So he’s supposed to guard the best player in the perimeter, then after they shoot, run down 30 feet and grab the rebound? The guy he is guarding is typically the guy shooting. It’s not like he’s waiting under the rim for the rebound… Heck Ben Wallace is not grabbing as many rebounds if his assignment was to guard the best perimeter offensive player. Pods rebounds a lot, but he’s not guarding the best player on the other team. He can roam around and hunt rebounds like Westbrook. Let JK guard forwards and let him roam around and I guarantee that he will grab rebounds.

Derrick white averaged 4rpg, Jrue Holiday 5rpg, Jaden Mcdaniels 3rpg, Wiggins 4.5 rpg, Jalen brown 5.5 rpg I can name more but can u see a pattern? Kuminga averages similar rebounds to all the players guarding the best or second best perimeter players. Yet people are too slow to realise that. It seems there's an agenda against Kuminga at this point. They are trying to lower his value so that he doesn't get paid but I'm sure people around the league can see and will grab him up this summer if we don't tie him down

Uber guy with the 💧had a horrible take. Steve Kerr and the coaching staff have harped on it over and over for YEARS - "Kuminga needs to rebound the ball" And if we arent hearing it from Steve, we hear it from JK himself who TELLS US Steve and co are asking him to do that to get more playing time. Not sure how a Warrior fan could have missed this at any point since JK has been a Dub.

They ask Kuminga to crash the offensive boards. That's a low probability play but then they say his transition defense isn't good. Make it make sense. Ofcos it's not gonna be good cos he's trying to get an offensive rebound.

@@obeda91 As a rookie, Brandin (a guard) averaged more offensive rebounds than 3rd year JK (a forward) while also leading the league in charges aka, getting back on defense. It's not that complicated.

@@MyMiniMovieMagic actually it's more complicated than that. I'm not gonna take anything away from Podz but Kuminga gets the more difficult defensively assignment every night. He's guarding the likes of Paul George, LeBron, KD, Booker, etc. These are the guys taking the shots, yet u expect him to also be the best rebounder. Its the same thing people say about Wigs for a long time, he doest rebound, that cos he's guarding the best players. Podz doesn't do that so he has a better chance of grabbing rebounds

Steph regularly averages more rebounds than all the players on this list. Not because he is a better rebounder than them.
