Jorm is still a solid hero but i have the feeling that he might get overlooked by all that power creep currently in the game and people are just picking a better hero. In my opinion they should make that all of his bashes do damage and some damage tweaks cause sometimes his damage feels a bit underwhelming.

I think a big quality of life change would be swapping the guardbreak wall punish damage. Like how right now you gb and get a light's worth of damage for a heavy off wallsplat, instead you should get a heavy's worth of damage for a light off wallsplat so Jorm's gb punish isnt neutered when hes not near a wall

i used to play a lot of jorm back in the days and when he got reworked but now (also because the last patch) i started to find him lackluster: he has become realy slow when dealing max punishes (not the best option for 4v4), also it feals like his damege is too low and it relies too heavily on walls for it to be effective and his slam has become the most boring part of his moveset (wich is a big no no in my book). it may be a decent duelist but i fear he won't get any better than that anytime soon

I’ve been a jorm one trick since I started playing about a year ago and I maybe see one every other day and they normally are not good at jorm jorm was a lot more fun before the rework happened but it definitely wasn’t sustainable

It’s not just you, or at your level. I am by no means even close to your mmr - still being on legacy console def has something to do with this lol - and I rarely see Jorms in matches. It’s probably somewhat more frequent at my level - perhaps I’ll see a Jorm every 15-20 matches in dom - but the popularity is definitely on a downward tick. I don’t mind this at all tbh. Jorm is one of my 3 sub-mains, and personally I much prefer it when my favourite characters are NOT in the spotlight. As they say: anything that becomes cool is inevitability killed by its own popularity. That said, there are still purists and fans like myself out there mixing it up Hamarr-style :)

I should also add: my top main is Shaman, my first was PK, and beside Jorm is Nobu lol so I know all too well the feeling of playing under-appreciated characters :)

Jorm is basically nonexistent in OCE (Australia NZ etc) I (Folsari) am the only rep 70 on jorm besides one other player who just grinded breach vs AI. My MMR is also pretty high and I mainly fight with the top 5% of OCE players and I NEVER see jorm, maybe once or twice in a gaming session over a few hours. When his rework came out his population obviously skyrocketed, as before the changes I was the only Jorm main (to my knowledge) on OCE. Imo he's 100% a casual pick and I'm not at all surprised he's disappeared back into the lesser played heroes, if I had to guess his recent nerf put a lot of players off (myself included) from playing and I've been enjoying Ocelotl quite a lot. Honestly It's kinda sad really I played him religiously since he came out and personally wasn't satisfied with his rework at all. I've played that character so much but ill never be able to go back to what he was (I understand he was a terrible character) I guess at this point I'm saying goodbye to Jorm now too I will definitely pick him up every now and then but nothing like before. Jorm is my 6th main. I play the warrior all the time but just haven't had the energy to make for honor vids lol I do see jorm pretty often actually. The new kid is who I see the most often. However, that's understandable. She's still a very fun pick for me and I find myself picking Jorm over Aramusha as the "counter play" character despite Musha's punishes being more damaging. Jorm is just fun to play with an I find myself being able to anti gank even easier with her. For a good long while Jorm has been easier to get parries with than the other 5. Why? No idea. She's just built different I guess. Also yes, that style you mentioned of the crazy cultist is pretty solid. The fashion is nice too.

Ive always liked Jorm for the same reasons you do. I also enjoy thicc tanky bois. Ngl, im not a fan of the Jorm rework and kinda just stopped playing him because all he is now is a mindless button masher of a character. I honestly missed the old Jorm where you had to actually think about what you were doing. Also the rework didnt fix Jorms biggest issue in 4's. His antiganking potential is soo low because he has no reach and a weird rollcatcher that doesnt work half the time. You can stall and defend pretty well but whats the point of stalling if the rest of your team is losing? I dont really know what else to say, the character just got really boring and all he is now is just a glorified revenge feeder

My friend jorm is good moveset wise but I think people are tired of the look of jorm. The aesthetic is not good at all if he looked like barbarian with a little armor here and there then everyone would love jorm but all you get is chalk face and shoeless feet I’m good bro

Old jorm was more enjoyable. Honestly I stopped playing as much after he got changed.
