I took my MAC 1014 to the range for the first time today for a break-in. I started off with 15 rounds of Remington slugs at 1560 FPS. Next, I fired 94 Winchester 2 3/4“ 1oz. #8 Dove & Clay rounds at 1350 FPS (I kept 6 back for home defense until I can get some buck). That’s 109 break-in rounds without a hiccup. Then I ran to Wally world and bought 50 more rounds - 25 Winchester #7 1 oz. steel shot at 1290 FPS and 25 Winchester #7 ½ 1oz. shot at 1250 FPS. The MAC gobbled them up too - first 10 rounds of the 1290 FPS stuff and then 10 rounds of the 1250 FPS stuff, followed by the rest of the 1290 shells and then the remainder of the 1250. So 159 flawless rounds total thru the Mac within a couple of hours with no cleaning or oiling. I am mightily impressed with this little Turkish copy of the Benelli M4!

@rharthart9477 glad to hear you're enjoying it. I enjoy mine, but mine is a little ammo sensitive.

@@BendingBallistics I view it like it's a self defense gun and it should only be fed quality ammo 1300 FPS or better. Maybe some lower FPS for practice as long as it provides enough gas to cycle.

I don’t buy any Winchester ammunition anymore for anything, I’ve had Winchester shotgun rounds that wouldn’t even chamber in my Browning A5 auto, I measured their width with calipers and they were way oversize compared to any other brand I had, how does that even leave the factory? , a lot of trouble with rifle and pistol ammo also from Winchester, I quit buying Winchester brand years ago, I recommend you do also. Also a well known fact that these don’t run well on any thing less than 1200 - 1300 fps.

@humpy936 ive never had an issue with Winchester ammo, the mac1014 is fully capable of running Winchester white box, I know multiple people who have the exact same shotgun I do and theirs has 0 issues cycling

@@BendingBallistics Lucky you, I’ve also watched many reviews on the same shotgun because I’m thinking of buying one, a lot of them have trouble with low speed shotgun shells, not only Winchester, but other brands, not trying to argue with you just stating facts that I’ve seen and facts that I have experienced myself.

@humpy936 oh forsure I didn't take it as you being argumentative about the Winchester ammo, if it came across that way that wasn't my intention at all, I've reached out to sds imports about my Mac not wanting to cycle other loads besides the Winchester ammo, they asked me to send it in to them. I probably will eventually however for now it's not a priority for me

It's not the ammo the shotgun1014 same as the Benelli m4 is piston driven it's designed to shoot high velocity ammunition only. High brass. The Mac 2 same as the Benelli M2 is inertiona driven same as Benelli M2. Very reliable shoot anything.

@richardfiedler2201 i shoot tons of low brass thru this shotgun, no hiccups it's definitely ammo related...

Winchester ammo sucks. It was good in the 80s, but I've went to federal, cci, Remington vipers, yellow jackets, and even the golden bullets. Winchester will only be shot through a bolt action, pump or single shot (I don't own a lever action). I've heard nothing good about Winchester white box anything. Their 22lr sucks, and their shotgun white box sucks.

@BendingBallistics try white box bulk in a semi auto rifle. I have four it won't cycle in. It even has different reports from unequal powder charges. I've heard people talking about white box shotgun ammo not cycling in semi autos or even ejecting from pump actions. I personally don't have trouble with the shotgun ammo, but the bulk white box is worse than the golden bullets used to be. I haven't shot the super x in years. It may be good.

@inscoredbz ive never had an issue out of any Winchester ammo, I mean Winchester makes about 40 percent of all the other branded ammo on the market. I'm not saying they make the best stuff ever however they do make multiple brands of ammo including some high-end ammo
