Gla1ve had the structures and the GOAT coach to lean on. He hasn't proven anything since the legendary roster split up. Karrigan has proven several times that he is able to build a team from scratch and take it to the top. He's been playing at the highest level for over a decade and is able to adapt his calling to new metas

Gla1ve won 4 majors and created the most dominant team in CS history. Karrigan brought 3 different teams (4 if you count pre-gla1ve Astralis) to the top throughout his career so far, can consistently make the players under him shine, and shows no sign of stopping soon. Either way, it’s a great debate and the CS scene is better with them in it

I think gla1ve inherited a successful roster that was molded by karrigan and needed a bit more time or minor changes to become great. Now that gla1ve has had some changes he's struggled to find any form of success, if Karrigan was the IGL of this current iteration of Astralis that has dev1ce and blameF I have no doubt that they'd look a lot better than they do. Basically I don't rate gla1ve as highly because he didn't build the team from scratch, just came into a team that was already a perennial contender at the right time.

Im not taking everything from Karrigan, but Gla1ve didnt had "superstars" and big "aimers" but yeah u can keep talking about this for a long time :) Both are legends

I just wanna correct something, and I don't wanna come across as a douch. But gla1ve didn't create the most dominant team. He joined the most dominant core (device, Dupree, xyp9x)

@@jdiscount I think both are legends and both of them deserve respect but I feel like the huge factor about dominant astralis era was the fact that their IGL was literally top8 player in th world at that time. There is not much you can do vs a team that has 3 insane rifflers, top tier firepower IGL and a clutcher that wins unwinnable rounds so often. Obviously gla1ve calls were amazing, he was reading his enemies like a open book, I can literally remember games when his Tside was amazing, not going into a single stack, always attacking the right side of the map but his firepower was imho his stronger side

Karrigan vs Gla1ve is like Dev1ce vs S1mple one has all of the stats to be the GOAT whilst the other is widely considered to be the GOAT even without all of the accolades

Gla1ve is an IGL in a danish team and karrigan is IGLing an International team. I think its easier to IGL a team in you own language then in you second language.

Remember that Karrigan has won t1 trophies ever since the game came out. Gla1ve only did with the legendary astralis line-up. I'd say karrigan is the goat igl, but gla1ve has accomplished more as an igl if that makes any sense .

Gla1ve has stagnated in his calling and hasn't achieved anything in the past 3 years now. Before he was the blueprint of what an ideal IGL is, but right now it hasn't been the case. If you're talking about past achievements, of course gla1ve takes the cake but right now i can't say the same.

Why karrigan is better then gla1ve? Because he changed teams and all of these teams performed better then before karrigan...gla1ve had/have a chance now to show that he is best...but sadly Astralis is underperforming so far... More majors... It is not time yet to count majors... let's wait until they both finish their careers...then we can count majors:)

Gla1ve won everything with the team that had karrigan as igl before him, Karrigan play csgo from begging and ten years later he won firsts big tournaments, and gla1ve was igl for the greatness team ever. Karrigan is great, but gla1ve is the best igl of all time
