Hello all:
Thanks for tuning in today. In this video, I'm sharing my experience walking through Nairobi at night. I talk about the experiences I had and the tips I offer for those planning a trip to Kenya.
Nairobi is a beautiful city, but it's not without its dangers. In this video, I talk about some of the things to watch out for when traveling to Kenya, as well as explain why Nairobi is a dangerous city to walk around at night. I hope this video gives you some insight into whether or not Kenya is a safe destination for you!
This video wouldn't have been possible with the help of ‪@the_traveling_miss‬. kindly check out her KZbin page and subscribe.
Nairobi is Kenya’s capital city. In addition to its urban core, the city has Nairobi National Park, a large game reserve known for breeding endangered black rhinos and home to giraffes, zebras and lions. Next to it is a well-regarded elephant orphanage operated by the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust. Nairobi is also often used as a jumping-off point for safari trips elsewhere in Kenya.

You always get authentic guides. This walk thru is the way a tourist like myself would explore a city. I wonder always how the country is able to keep up the infrastructure with taxes when so many people just sell on the streets. First person I heard mention Thomas Sankara because travelers don't go to Burkina Faso--so far.

When u're in Nairobi downtown in evening, is always very busy cause it's the time people are going home. During the day time hawkers are always awhere from town. Generally Nairobi is peaceful than Johannesburg.

Brilliant Ivain! Your chosen reasons for vlogging are mature and to be applauded. Wishing you all the best always. Of Africa; she gets so much bad rap that Africans shouldn't contribute to 'bad mouthing' other African nations. No matter the reasons. It is in bad taste! All the unnecessary pettiness and competitiveness must stop. No other group outside the continent does that. Ubuntu!

To correct the lady.... "mzungu" means someone who explores and goes from place to place. A wanderer. English in proper swahili is "Ki-ingereza"... but some people say "Kizungu" to mean language of the "mzungu". So the mzungu was not named from the language kizungu. It is the other way around. Otherwise I am enjoying the urban Kenya content. Nairobi is not one big "sh*thole" slum. It's one of the most developed places you will ever visit in Africa. People need to know this.

Very interesting to see the different views, all valid. First the Travelling Miss was correct to say white men are always going to get the most views, this follows the food chain in the West. White men control politics, entertainement, sports, industry, banks etc so no surprises white men more often than now will blow up fast. Look at Kurt the white South African guy, i started seeing him two or so years ago with maybe less than 100K subscribers and now well over 1 million heading towards 2 million. Also Remi is from Germany of Iraqi descent or something and he has gone to Colombia and Brazil and done what many black African American youtubers have done and he has blown way higher. The thing is there is a segment of the world population that will not follow whatever some black youtuber is doing. It is what is. Also then, black youtubers will tend to highlight social issues like racism that they may come across, some white people are not comfortable with those conversations and non black youtubers provide a safe space where such incidents are never mentioned because they will never run into such issues and if they do it does not concern them. Now I agree with Priya that there is only so much scantily dressed women that men can see. You may use it to boost your subscribers but viewers need real content, there are plenty of free websites they can view pornography if that is what they want. Ivan you are correct, there is ghettoes everywhere. Most of our fellow Africans see hollywood movies but are not aware they are people who go without electricity or heating in America. The West show their best places and so African youtubers have an obligation to show our best places too. If anyone wants to see poor places in Africa they can catch a flight and do that. We should not be propagating that negative stereotype. You will hardly find a European who would be proud to document their own poor places or drug infested places. Ultimately if an African chooses to show the shanty places, its their right, i just do not think it is the right thing to do.

I don't know her name, but the girl in the polka-dot shirt is absolutely 100% right about Nairobi; they are the stupidest things that let the whole city down, like the Pavements and sidewalks. Repair them the stealing the police are aware of those robbers who wake up in the morning to come and snatch your phone. When the city council sweeps the city in the morning, they put the robbers in the garbage bin
