Her having an OP kit is one thing, but then her stats are bonkers too. Just one example, My lvl67, GT 10, 4RS Kestrel has about 25% more health, than my same red star, GT, and level Juggernaut who actually has one more yellow star.

I think we are seeing the Jedi Revan effect in MSF, due to Black Order. JKR teams were dominant for a long time, and it seems like pretty much every new team/hero released after him are insanely stronger than everything prior (DR into GAS, then Galactic Legends). It feels like the developers backed themselves into a corner, and from this point forward every team released has to be stronger than BO, making that the new floor for heroes going forward.

Except on defense 😂 Ofc newer teams & characters are going to have to shift the meta or shift towards being irrelevant if they can't beat Emma, BO etc. We don't need anymore Asgard killers. They have 15 counters as it is. This happens in all games, unless it's a continuous loop of elemental weakness. One game for example releases new characters and you level them, gear them, awaken them etc, go into an old world boss and they get hammered. Why? Elemental disadvantage. This system I don't care for either. Make them relevant to what came before if thats the intention. Astonishing X intention was to make them the best raid team. Mission accomplished. SWGOHs mistake was not making these GLs remotely ftp. Kestrel & SS are ftp. JkR, Darth Revan even more paywalled, Darth malak you needed those combinations to unlock him. Then GLs with insane requirements. Now they have multiple Palp & Lukes. Plus Anakin.

We don't and we play in Plat. Here are the reasons. 1. Choose the direct hard counter - win 2. Choose the soft counter but be aware of turn order, priority order & war buffs - win Use only one team as cleanup - Viable teams - Guards, pymtech (without ghost) shuri with a team (usually, reserved for Doc oct & Emma) Kree, Aim characters etc 3. Be active as early as possible, & eliminate all global rooms in a set period of time. 4. War decided on how big or small we are punching up into but most importantly, activity. There's nothing inbetween to stop any ally steamrolling defenses. 900k BOs. Didn't matter, they can be punched up on by 150-200k+ Most teams can infact. If def up, & down are in play, lower the range into a conservative number punch-up, or punch down. Someone will always have an answer (team) in a Plat & even gold alliance. Once all this becomes memory muscle, war gets tedious. There are often more mistakes made through tedium because players want to see how far they can push that boundary. Not that the defense is being effective.

This is just like the black order situation! To make everything right they came up with Silver Surfer. To counter Emmarauders they came up with Shadowlands. my guildie found a fun way to use her-with multiple man. All those minions hitting enemies means she pops off that passive over and over. Probably would match up well with ultron too since he gives the speed up/offense up on top of having 3 minions spawn on first turn. But you can just use her as the 5th xfactor if you want, though that's probably overkill

Funny... I'm running the exact same team in arena minus Zemo...I don't have him. I'm still an early to mid player... But even at my level with her or should I say especially at my level with her...dad bros, silver surfer and her just CRUSH it. I'm using Minnerva as my 5th. I'm open to other options, but I don't have any legendaries (except Ironman) and this is working for me ....so far. Interesting that we landed on ALMOST the same team comp. I like Minnerva right now because sometimes my shatter star goes down and I want him up for the debuffing

I think it’s because of the backlash that scopely has gotten the past few months. The fact that it’s the anniversary. Also they announced strike pass so they wanted to give us a character that would ease us into it. Feel really bad for anyone that couldn’t unlock him though. I feel like after this version of the game is updated for a new one that they are just going to add regular (lol) characters who won’t be as strong but still make or finish good teams. Then we will have this time next year to look forward to where they could add more amazing characters. Though being their baby and their original character I can’t blame them for making her powerful but I also can’t see them making another toon more powerful or even close to her power anytime soon. Could be wrong of course.

My arena shard (6months played) at the very top has been a ton of this team except with emma instead of kestrel. What it comes down to is, if your zemo goes first its lights out for the other team, so you bring emma for no reason there than the speed passive. Thhe problem is, both teams usually have emma so arena recently has been nothing but rng coin flips.

I think you are absolutely correct. When I have a team that is 300k prime Avengers team and a Kestrel mishmash team at 220k (with Kestrel at 15k below the lowest on my team) and three members of my team are one shotted during the first opponent’s turn, yeah, she is incredibly OP. I disliked Real Team Arena to begin with, but now I loath it as 7 out of 10 teams seem to be Kestrel centric 15 second fights.

I've already encountered a team with almost 40k power , i have a team with 81k power , bad thing is the team has kestrel , she beat 3 of them , but good thing is i have hulk with 17k power along with ghost spider at 16k power , but man , even that team has kestrel at 9k power , even your team have 80k power , as long as the other have kestrel , without web warriors or hero with overpowered abilities , there's no way you beat kestrel.

The problem with her that I've seen after playing with her for a couple of months now, is that she one shots, even characters who have death proof and revive mechanics, ON TURN ONE. Adding in characters that can one shot someone on your team ON TURN ONE, is obnoxious. The characters designed like this make the meta revolve completely around that one character, because deleting someone on turn one is SO much more of an impactful contribution than say, doing a big AOE on turn 3, or cloning someone on turn 2. Every game in RTA, even Arena that I play (literally anywhere I have to face off against an enemy kestrel), the game is ALL ABOUT nuking Kestrel down first. Often it's about trying to screw Kestrel over by dominating her turn meter, or using a start with taunt tank, so your KESTREL GOES FIRST and can one shot their kestrel. Speed is a really interesting mechanic in this game, and it's completely crapped on when you have characters who can one shot eachother. Then the game just becomes all about speed. Using really slow characters is just not viable now. Her 300k pings are just... you know. Salt on the wounds. It doesn't even need to exist and she would be fine. Personally I would bring her stats into line. She has like.... hulk levels of health, almost? Stupid. Thor, the god of thunder, at gear 13, 70k power level, has the same HP as a 2 red star 30k power level Kestrel. That's kinda unacceptable as far as balance goes. I'd remove her ability to cleanse herself on turn. Remove her taunt mechanic. Remove her self healing. Reduce the damage of the ping by about 70%. Remove the majority of her passive novel. Remove the secondary attack from her AOE. And remove the ability to nuke through revive mechanics. After all that she is probably around as strong as some of the older characters. I just love comparing older characters to newer ones for jokes. Iron man compared to kestrel is hilarious. She literally does everything he does 10x better than he does. He has to wait like 3 turns sometimes to use his ultimate and it doesn't even one shot people, it doesn't strip buffs or eat through revive or deathproof, its just a balls to the wall high damage single target ultimate. His AOE does less damage than the first strike of Kestrels AOE lol unless he's with cap then it does a bit more. It's never enough damage to make me think OH SHIT, like Kestrel when she just flat out deletes 3 enemies with one ability.

Honestly i think she is a little too much. Definitely op. I lost in real time arena with asgardians minus hela plus mordo at 374k power against a random team not suited at all that had a 41k emma frost and 39k kestrel. The team had a total of 217k power and granted I put it on auto but I watched and kestrel just destroyed my hole team. That ridiculous scopely is making all the teams and characters we have been working on for years completely useless. It's a slap in the face for the followers and honestly I think they need a massive overhaul of all teams and characters to bring back some kind of equilibrium.

You said Mags+Blind could be a counter. How is blind going to do anything when she clears negative effects? Seems like stun is the only answer.

Because she doesn't clear the Blind until her turn and Bro2.0 goes much faster than she does, so she is missing all those bonus attacks before her turn.

I’ve just realized with it’s the last few months ever since symbiotes came, out everything they have been releasing is seriously been power creeping our roster. First we got the rest of the symbiotes then we got Doctor doom then the 2 dadbros then astonishing x-men then skill military was skippable that’s mainly because they messed it up, then shadowland 2 more x-factor then silver surfer and now kestrel. What happened to characters that are skippable like squirrel girl, she-hulk or ironheart.

I've talking about power leaping ever since Doom was revealed. I mean, if they make a character with an amazing kit, why give him (/her) some top stats too? Sure, it's easier like this, without any balancing, as they (Scopely) don't earn any money to pay devs for this process. But this only leads to more problems down the road. What cand they do if they let the power slip like this? Release new characters weaker then this patch? Why would anyone bother then? Next logical step, new characters will solo any 5 men team available in game to that point in time... And everyone should buy and use for one month, then through in the trash, because new ones have already arrived. And all the characters in this patch are OP. Kestrel everywhere, Kolleen and Misty on WarDef especially. Imagine being a new player joining Marvel Strike Force these days, and wondering what are the best characters to get.. Is it Spider-Man? Perhaps Iron Man? Maybe Hulk? No? What other well known Marvel characters could be on top? Maybe Magneto or Cyclops... Still no. It's Kestrel, Colleen Wing and Misty Knight! Who? A no-name and some Defenders side-kicks? WOW! Skip to the next Marvel game, that get's you to play with the important and loved characters then!
