Is Kibble Really That Bad? What You Should Really Be Feeding Your Dog!

Great video. Dogs and cats have been living with humans for at least 10,000 years. It is only in the last 100 years that they have been fed processed food, wet or dry. What the kibble krowd ignores is that organic nutrients in fresh food are processed differently in a pet’s body, than synthetics found in commercial food. The big problem with kibble is the high amount of carbohydrates, which dogs and cats don’t need. And most kibble contains corn, wheat and other grains that cats, especially, don’t need. Most kibble is high in calcium and phosphorus, which is bad for dogs and cats. A kibble that is within the proper range for calcium and phosphorus is usually very expensive. The cheaper the ingredients, the higher the amount of calcium and phosphorus. Fresh food, ground beef, chicken, etc. is usually less expensive per pound than most commercial pet food. And the absence of most odors from the litter box, tells me fresh food is definitely better. Happy Sardine Sunday!
