Why are you using the RX8 trans? Assuming it must be stronger than the NC and the same bolt pattern? But then collins, etc. offer kits for other trans, so keen to know more

I started this build before k power had the plate ready. So, a guy in England who did the k swap first used the Collins motor mounts with the rx8 subframe since it all bolted right up. I then took it 1 step further and realized I could use the s2 rx8 trans and not have to deal with adapting a whole different drive line. Just switch the tail shaft housings from NC 6 speed the the rx8 s2 6 speed. Which is the same as the nc3 and 3 6 speed internally. So a bit stronger too.

Yeah... Go try buy a s2k for 15k... The only argument against kswapping a miata is that you could buy a C5 instead

I would agree. The c5 is the just the big Miata. I'm constantly tempted to step into a C6. But prices are a little high and they have a ton of their own issues when taken to the track
