As a Malaysian, I hope my country will stay underrated. Too many toourists not good for the environment.

The fastest way to explore KL is by using grab, don't take a taxi because it's quite expensive. Mrt is cheaper but the route is a bit confusing if you're not familiar

Grab is great in the city! We mostly walked though to save some money

Welcome to Malaysia !🎉🎉🎉❤ It is Not true that most back packers are skipping Malaysia as we have 29million visitors in 2023. From Jan 2023 to Nov 2023 we have more tourist arrival than Thailand.😊

Thank you, I love Malaysia! Where are most of these tourists from because in my experience the majority of backpackers I've spoken to from Western countries usually skip Malaysia. I think they shouldn't because it's such a great place to visit

try visiting Melaka, and see the churches and templs there - like St Peter church (built 1710), St paul church, christ church, st francis church, Cheng Hoon Temple, the shrines along jonker and following streets, Kampung Kling mosque and the floating mosque.

Bro why do you say Malaysia is looked down upon?.. Malaysia is the country with the number 6 most tourists in the world
@GoWithDannyMo3 ай бұрын
Where did you find that statistic? For Western backpackers, in my experience I have found that not many people I have spoken to have visited. Are most of the tourists from Singapore, Indonesia and China? They're missing out though as it's a great country.

From your perspective maybe, but I haven't heard many good things about Kuala Lumpur in my own personal experience other than it's a city that you shouldn't spend much time in. From my perspective, I was surprised at how cool the city is which is why I've titled it as underrated

They have insane laws! I heard they jail you if u own a rainbow watch cause it means u support gay rights !
@arii19873 ай бұрын
Lol. No they won't. Being openly gay is against the law (incidently these laws were written by the British and copied from the Indian Penal Code. Same laws in Singapore but they amended it to allow some things). As this is a MOSTLY religious country. ALL religions here, Islam, Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism, Taoism etc. all frown upon and do not allow same sex relationships. As a democratic nation, it is the will of 99.999% of the people. But there are those who prefer same gender relationships and so long as its behind closed doors, nobody cares.
