I live in Vegas and am seriously thinking of selling my house before the water is almost at critical level and the house values drop and move somewhere else. I thought I heard on another video of Lake Powell holding back a lot of water to keep their turbines operational to generate electricity at their dam which in turn has caused Lake Mead to drop.

So, in a year or two all those 100K boats could be doing bumper cars in a mud puddle. They drained our local lake to work on the dam years ago. We found loads of fishing poles and lures. There were a half dozen sunken boats. One was an expensive race boat with a(I don't know my boats) jet drive. A week later that engine was gone. There was this old drowned tree that had five different anchors wrapped around it. I still have a couple of them.

Also I am concerned about people swimming in the water around the marina. On vegasdtech's channel he filmed floating human waste around the docks and a lot... it was very nasty to see. Good thing he documented. So it's very unsanitary to swim in.

As water levels drop the water will become warmer and aquatic life will die, You will see algae blooms, as water will become green ‼️

The water has been heating up as levels drop and it killed many species. So ummmm what is the plan.? If there was a plan the aquatic life that has died wouldn't have. Have you not smelled any kind of oder ? Warmer water and lower levels create adage and chokes out aquatic plants. Depleting oxygen levels that have already killed many species. Basically carp are about the only species left. Carp can not handle warming water and eventually will die.it would take many year's for Lake Mead to fill if weather was right and honestly lake Mead doesn't have yes. You are looking at a natural disaster happening right in front of you. This is going to cause real estate to plummet, people will migrate away to other states. As I said this has been well known for yrs Bringing in pipelines would take many yrs and it would harm endangered species and that will not be tolerated. With Bidens Green Deal it actually has the hands tied of any progress.

The most dramatic part of the lake's decline has already occurred from a visible standpoint, the next phase of decline won't be as obvious but it will be more serious. The upcoming menu for this catastrophe involves: 1. The 2 - 4 million acre feet output cut scheduled for August. 2. Hydropower shutoff for Lake Powell. 3. The Terminal decline of Lake Mead once it is finally cut off from the Upper Basin. 4. Hydropower shutoff for Lake Mead. 5. Day Zero, Las Vegas. This may happen sooner than expected because the equipment was never tested under the circumstances that are coming.

I keep seeing hints of removing Glen Canyon dam, which would only prolong the Lake Mead problem a little longer. I think you've laid out the upcoming steps well. This does not have a happy ending, not for us in the Southwest and not for the rest of the country either. For anyone saying "maybe living in the desert wasn't a good idea" I say sure, you're right, but but that horse left the barn 100+ years ago, and this catastrophe impacts us all. Much of the entire country's produce is grown in California. What happens when all the farmers are cut off from water? What happens when 40 million people finally realize the extent of the problem? Half, or more, will try to flee. The rest will tough it out in place for awhile and that will get ugly. How many deaths are we looking at? Are the other states prepared for the massive internal migration? Lakes are drying up all over the world, no continent is unaffected and it's happening much faster than anyone predicted. Dark times ahead, I'm afraid.

You don't seem to understand your 1) . The federal Bureau of Reclamation has asked the states that share Lake Mead to conserve THEIR water to offset taking more from us. These states should have been conserving all along but they haven't. They have to start now, no more screwing around. Your 2) will be avoided at all cost. They will not let that happen. 3) You do realize that for years Lake Mead existed without the damns up north? The Lake dropped lower back then. Once the other damns started up, the Lake fluctuated but eventually leveled off. Please, we are sick to see what's happening but your fear mongering needs to be based on fact. You just need to research just a little deeper.

The ww2 boat was at one time 140 ft under water. Hobby divers use to dive on the wreck. I have seen videos of people diving on the wreck. It's crazy how low the water is getting.

Carrying water in a backpack, and a towel to cool your head and neck, might be something to consider. I do this on my motorcycle, it's a life saver for me. I appreciate your continued interest on the lake. It's disheartening, but vital to be shown. As always, love your content and style.

Water seeks its own level, so the water at the Dam would be the same level anywhere else at the lake, not depth, but level..

I live in Augusta Ga and we have the largest man made reservoir east of the Mississippi. The Ga side calls it Clark Hills Lake the SC side calls it Thurman Lake. It separates the western border of SC and Eastern of Ga. it is only has a max depth of 180' and holds 1.750.000 acre feet of water and 1200 miles of shoreline .But as it is managed by humans and we know how they can screw something up. I don't see good things for the people that rely on the power and water from The Colorado River Basin.
