Lamar Jackson agreed to a five-year, $260 million extension ($185 million guaranteed) with the Baltimore Ravens. This makes him the highest-paid player in the NFL with $52 million a year. The Ravens also got Lamar some help during the NFL Draft, selecting Boston College WR Zay Flowers at No. 22. The team also signed Odell Beckham Jr. a few weeks ago, which raises the question on whether Lamar is now out of excuses. Moses is a solid tackle. Zeitler is a solid guard. Bozeman was good, good enough to price himself out of Baltimore. He's had offensive line talent. Doesn't mean the O line has been spectacular, but the talent has been there.

When it comes to LJ#8, the main thing people are forgetting is that the offensive scheme plays a huge role as well. Yes, injuries hindered the Ravens. But it was 1 major factor that hurt the Ravens. 1. Their scheme - Greg Roman, the OC, installed a run heavy scheme. Yes, because of LJ's running ability. But also because the Ravens always had a strong run game. I've heard numerous people say that the reason the OC installed that offense is because the organization didn't trust LJ's throwing ability. But who was he throwing to? Mark Andrews was, and has been his best receiver. AND HE'S A TIGHTEND!!! What if Greg Roman didn't feel he had the talent at the WR position? Yes, it is the QB's job to make the other players better. But, you as an OC, have to scheme plays to get the ball in your best players/ playmakers hands. Hence the reason the offense relied solely on LJ and Mark Andrews. is it LJ's fault that some draft picks didn't pan out? No. All LJ did was win with the talent that he was surrounded with.

Man Acho got told on his own show. Lamar has never given into excuses, he has only praised everyone he’s ever played with. Going back to Louisville. I’ve watched Lamar since his first year at UofL. This kid has never had a dynamic receiver. He has always just made do. I am excited to see his opportunity with a solid receiving core. He deserves it to put to rest the “Lamar can’t throw” crowd.

They’re not excuses doe it’s the reality. Lamar hasn’t had healthy help, he’s had either Bateman or Mark Andrews they rarely shared the field together. His oline also sucks. Nd dobbins is never healthy either. So dey bring in Odell who hasn’t played a full season in how long ??? And an unproven rookie. That is the reality of it nothing more nothing less. There are no excuses for most of these qbs, so it is what it is. They gave him more talent, got him a new OC, added Roquan, drafted a stud safety last year. Even if you want to give him an excuse from the past, the excuses are done GOING FORWARD!
