What made The Carter 3 a classic was the buildup to the album. I was maybe 15 at the time and Wayne was on a historic run. As a fan of Hip Hop, as a kid growing up in during that time, Wayne was our Jay Z. That album was everything when it dropped. I can’t really put it into words how incredible it was. To me it’s in the top 20 best hip hop albums of all time. Maybe I am biased but that album made me look at hip hop differently.

There’s about 3-4 songs that don’t really hit me. But the rest are absolutely killer dope songs. It’s a very good Album. Carter 3 really is. No question about it. I agree Carter 2 is a classic. I stopped listening to his music after Carter 3. Although Carter 4 has some pretty good tracks like How To love.

The Carter III not a classic? Bruh how. You know why I think it's one of the best rap albums ever? Because I'm not even a huge rap guy, but this is the album that drew me into the genre and started me listening to more rap. Now does that mean it has the best rap chops, production, sheer talent? Maybe not, but it's undisputable the impact this album had, and if it can get people who don't even like rap to listen to it, I think that may be a good case to make for saying it's one of the best out there.

King Sosa was that nigga in 2012, I can't front. Nobody was fucking with his wave and putting a whole new style of rap on the map. Sosa did pave the way for alot of rappers today and I do agree finally rich is classic in that regard, but comparing the resumes and body of work between those 2 albums there's No way you can say one is a classic and one isn't.
