I have visited both. There are some differences between Bali and Lombok. Bali offers entertainment, while Lombok offers tranquility. Bali is very enjoyable for relaxation, but as a retirement destination, I feel Lombok is the best. Thanks for coming to Indonesia 😍

As I usually prever less crowded place for my destination, so Lombok is a win for me. Really enjoy the quite peaceful beautiful long beaches in Lombok ❤ But if you want to look for a unique culture/ tradition or a place to party, Bali is definetely for you.

great shot, nice editing and thanks for the extra effort with the drone shot! i just moved to Lombok myself and yeah… its perfect if you enjoy tranquility, want to focus on urself and seek relaxation. plus, you wont find troublesome tourists like in Bali (most ppl who move to Lombok are those tired of the hustle bustle, many are from Bali too) but if you’re a super social and creative person, Lombok might not be the right fit for you..

Between those islands, u should choose base on ur vacation preferences.. as indonesian, i must say that lombok has more beautiful and peaceful beaches, waterfall and sea water but less accomodation, transportation and baverages (bar, resto, beach club).. also Lomboknese people are not as open minded as balinese. But hey, our country have 17,000 island within 38 provinces.. thats mean there are thousand of beautiful beaches, water fall and else 😂 If u like to snorkling, the best spot is not arround bali nor lombok, the best spot are at Raja Ampat near papua or north Sulawesi.. these are surely on the 10 top spot in the world.

Lombok is different, we found a great place called sunset springs in the north, wonderful place, great restaurant. it's along the north west coats between the Ghili islands and Mount Ranjani.. thanks for sharing, nice to see other people doing similar things great video guys xx

Nice video. We’ve now been to Lombok twice in the last 3 months and absolutely love the peace and quiet. The beaches are stunning and the water is blue! If u really want the party vibe then Bali (or gili in Lombok) If u value quiet, rustic then Lombok wins

Bali or Lombok? Bcoz they are literally neighbors ppl like to set up comparisons and say things like ‘Lombok is Bali thirty years ago…’ Well, on some levels that may be accurate. Lombok does not have the same degree of ‘development’ and ‘exploitation’ that Bali has. But they really are two different locations in quite a number of ways. There are Cultural differences because of religion. Climate is virtually identical. Geography and landscape are similar. Surprisingly Bali and Lombok are on two different tectonic ‘plates’ and are moving past each other. The Lombok Strait is literally a geologic fault line (named the ‘Wallace Line’) that is the plate boundary between two different plates. One is moving under the other. This makes the area very susceptible to earthquakes and sometimes the resulting tsunamis. The two islands definitely different and which one you choose to visit really depends on what you are seeking. You want peace, quiet, relaxation, and space? Then Lombok is the place for you. Want excitement, activities, and energy… choose Bali.

We love Lombok too and been so many times there. For holiday it's alright. But to live it's quite difficult for us. We work remote and many times in the evening or night, then we eat also always very late and in Lombok it's quite difficult to find some good food after 10pm. Everything is almost closed, except ayam or bebek lalapan there is less food you can find in the evening. So to life, we prefer Bali.

Visit the Sumatra region of Indonesia, especially West Sumatra. There are many beautiful natural attractions there, and West Sumatra is the Bali of western Indonesia. You want beautiful beaches, islands Exotic islands, the most delicious food in the world "Rendang and Nasi Padang, unique culture, beautiful mountains, hills and valleys, dozens of beautiful waterfalls, The lake is beautiful and wide, then what is currently viral is a place that is similar to Switzerland in Alahan Panjang, so everything is green and surrounded by mountains and there are also 3 lakes, and one more Mentawai Island is an international surfing spot and there are still indigenous Mentawai tribes. 30 yrs ago, there were no traffic in Bali,, I would have the bike to myself cruising the rice patty. There were more dogs then tourists. I guess most people cant afford a car those day.

There's definitely a sweet spot between developed and over-touristed, and Lombok hasn't found it yet. Unfortunately it just doesn't have the culture that makes Bali so attractive.

Lombok will never be Bali 20years ago because the Balinese culuture and people are so unique. Also just because there is rice fields and monkeys doesn’t mean it’s mini Ubud :). There is no temples like in ubud, no foot like in ubud etc… I get the comparison but in the end it’s two totally different islands with unique landscapes and culutures and you probably should visit both 😅. The quality of your videos is amazing!
