As somebody who lives so close to London, I know the tubes/travel like the back of my hand as I have been so much in teenhood/adulthood, and the 'hype' went away after going a few times as a kid, so this makes me so happy to see your families excitement. Isn't it just so fun?! Endless things to do (albeit, expensive), but a lovely place to be. I wholly recommend if you visit again to get the tube to the embankment. You can walk out and over the bridge and the views of the river that way are beautiful, and a short walk up you'll reach the eye, Shrek, and a super cool arcade too, if it is still there, it is called 'Namco'! Also, you can visit the 'Sky Garden' in the big walkie talkie building for free, the views are immense, and they open the balcony area for if you're not a wuss like me! Lastly, of course, the Natural History Museum is just the best. I have so many more things to say... but my comment is too long! Hope you and yours had a fab time. P.S we have not been since having our toddler, and I would love to know how you found it, any tips and tricks and what not! Or whether to maybe wait a while, as obviously it is tricky! 🙂
