@@kindasomeviews It was a thing in SFV for sure, basically you could be at almost half screen and you would block a move that was coming out because of the nature of the game. In this game tho, that was removed to emphasize the more open nature of the games neutral and footsies. LTG is bad at footsies so him getting clipped isnt that surprising.

The game has a parry mechanic that will automatically block low and high. So that is your proxy guard, regardless he will lose because he is a shitty player.

He would know that if he tried and won he could show that even “scrubs” can’t win despite their advantages but ig his standards are too high for that. apparently getting Diamond is easy when you're playing early. you dont even have to really win to wake up. even DSP can rank up with little to no issues, against other scrubs no less

I'd say it's very deceptive. Almost marginally, LTG has more skill than DSP. Both get over by having waves of scrubs come to them, but Phil is the one to more likely crack and lose against average to skilled players than Dale, who has more knowledge anyway. We're talking about the same pale vampire that didn't know where the meter was when he first started playing, and expects literally every attack he does to work

it really is weird. my guess is that Phil started much earlier than Dale, cuz in those first several streams, he was getting scrubs left and right, barely losing and shot up in the process. I've even seen him rank up upon losing. The Devil's luck is strong with him

I own SF6 but I have not played it yet as unfortunately I have MK1 installed and no room but what is proxy guard? Because if what he is saying that all you would have to do is stand guard and it is effective against a sweep then I am glad they took it out because that sounds like easy mode to me. But I don't know.

I'll double check later cuz it was explained in a past thread b4 but if I remember right it's when your character guards while holding backwards even when the attack is about a foot away. Things like that can be taken with a grain of salt, not be overblown to hell like Dale loves doing

I personally wouldn't like that but unlike him if that is what is in the game then both opponents have it and and I would just have to get over it lol np there. Seems that in SF6 they had it in game and it prevented you from moving because of the block animation should people use fireballs and other attacks so they removed it so you weren't "stuck" in a way especially should you get crossed up. Why the F would Dale even want this mechanic is beyond me. it goes to show what once was ( a tourney player ) has gone soft and is clueless I'm gonna sub btw keep these vids coming xD.
