Is Mace balanced because it requires "risk" and "specific setups"?

Mace being this strong will limit what can be done with it in custom content like maps/mods (Updates are also designed around what custom content can use).
It's just hard designing around something this inherently powerful without bottlenecking level design, or making it an endgame-only weapon. I would prefer a balanced weapon that can have multiple, playstyle-accessible variants over a stale, unbalanced one. Cool weapon otherwise

UPDATE: Woo it got nerfed with every change I wanted. I think people will get used to it. It's still quite strong, just not ridiculous. The block threshold for taking out 20 HP mobs is the same, 40 HP mobs only require 1-2 more blocks, and 100 HP mobs requires ~60 blocks (~18-20 with density 5). A height that should be risky to get such a high reward. As expected, the reaction by some is overexaggerated. The issue wasn't that a Mace with density could take out Warden at 50+ blocks, it was that it could take everything else out at such safe, non-risky heights that it invalidated everything else. Old density 5 could achieve 100 damage at 8 blocks. With wind burst 3 and density 5 post-nerf Mace, I can still bounce on iron golems and take them out in 4 (sometimes 3) hits at the same rate a sharpness 5 diamond sword takes them out, all in survival. Anyway, I'm sorry if you wanted a grossly unbalanced tool as a reward from those chamber things, but the game isn't just vanilla survival, it's also custom content like maps and mods, of which a post-nerf Mace can more flexibly fit into without breaking stuff in the form of Mace variants/new Maces. I'd say it's still good in vanilla survival anyway

I think its too overpowered because u can use elytra with mace and it deals a lot of damage
