I couldn't agree. We fed the egoism to the players. We lowered the standards of Manchester United. We allowed sentimentality to infested within the fan base that we're far more divided than ever. Rashford is just an example of utter negligence and egoism that infests Manchester United.

Rants, you might be wrong. Ever thought MR is depressed from the current set up? 2 reasons. 1 - the club didn’t give him the green light as the leader of the line. They bought a 20 year old….an avg 20 year old. 2. You just don’t have ballers in the team. The whole team is struggling and has been struggling for 10+ years.

You do realise Rashford is ONLY a LW he categorically cannot play up top which we have seen over the years when we’ve needed him to fill in at striker. Secondly, if him being paid 350k isn’t enough for him to feel like the ‘leader’ of the front line then I struggle to think what will. In his 8 or so years in the team, nothing about his performance has indicated that he’ll ever be consistent enough to be the focal point for a league winning attack let alone being worth the value of his exorbitant contract. Those points are laughable.

@@teebedaguy6435 - you’re not wrong about anything you said. But Hojlund wouldn’t be the starting CF for any other top 6 team. It’s MR’s fault that he’s not playing the #9 position. I think it’s safe to assume that he knew he’d starve with Garnacho and Anthony both shooting 1st before they pass. He’ll be ok with an effective RWer.

All of what you’re saying is true. I think United felt like they had to. This was during a time when BLM was a cultural phenomenon at its peak. The public backlash if they were to offload Rashford could have potentially destroy the only thing they have going for them, commercial marketability.
